i've been a victim of enticing advertising... (a million times) and still, i have not learned my lessons...
you see, these movie trailers and DVD jackets all have flowering words and a very good cast that will entice you to watch it... and you do...
UNFORTUNATELY, it's the ugliest theme you've ever seen!
here's some: (i forgot the others because they're not even close to "worth watching")
the ring - vanessa's right... it's pathetic... good horror/suspense movies are only countable by fingers... lesson learned: never get carried away by the trailer, let alone the "supposed-to-be" audience screaming their heads off.
paranoid - starring "jessica alba aka dark angel"... first five minutes, i was still awake... lesson learned: never get carried away just because the actor is well-known.
-
The Rules of Attraction.
Worst freakin' movie ever!!! Lesson learned: Just because it's got good actors and possibly a good plot, doesn't mean it's a good movie.
-
You thought the Ring was awful?!? Well, now that we've established that your opinion about movies doesn't count....
3 worst movies ever.
Congo
Tomb Raider
Battlefield Earth
---Andrew

Rules of Attraction?? You didn't think it was good?? :x I really liked it!! (esp Ian Somerhalder lol)

-
Worst movie I ever saw was Reign of Fire. I saw it b.c Christian Bale was in it. I made my friend go and I was jealous b.c when I looked over she was sleeping and I was still watching that crap!
-
Hmmm, the last one which sucked was Cube 2: Hypercube.
Well it didn't really suck but let's say it didn't make much sense.
Very weird movie....
-
Vanilla Sky
blech...between a disfigured Tom Cruise, psycho Carmen Diaz and a terribly morose plot that movie scarred me for life...blech again
-
Holes
and Castaway (Uggh, i hated castaway, everyone loved it except my family and the person that went with us)
-
i found that most of your choices are in fact my choices...
here's another list:
GATTACA - one word... BORING!
TAILOR OF PANAMA - i'll never watch another Pierce Brosnan movie other than the 007 ones ever again! ps the latest 007 was not so exciting in my opinion.
BLAIRWITCH PROJECT - i've fallen for that docmentary crap, i can't believe it!
-
Jason X

lol. Yep, it was a majority decision against me. It was either watch Jason X or wait for everyone outside the cinema (theater). Looking back, I wish I'd taken the second option :?

Grakthis, like i said: "IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY CHOICES, DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE BAD TASTE..."
I may have the very reasons why i would most likely insult you (or worse), but i'm not gonna... i'm better than that...
so, peace, bro... chill... i hate ruining everybody's day, esp mine... you did.. but it's fine... (huh, it rhymed!)

Hehe, I was living in Bangor, ME when this movie was being made at the airport there... did I mention I have met Stephen King! :p
He is a very goofy looking man.
-
Vanilla Sky
blech...between a disfigured Tom Cruise, psycho Carmen Diaz and a terribly morose plot that movie scarred me for life...blech again
I loved that movie, I still need to see the original... it made me cry and the end... not sure why... anyway...
Oh maybe cause Jason Lee rocks too... Hahahahaha
-
AHEM.
Worst movies EVER....
1) The Mexican (crap!) lesson learned? don't expect a crap movie to get better. I was trapped...on a plane...with nothing else to do but hope the movie would improve. I had faith. I said to myself, "This has to get better. Why else would it have done decently at the box office?" It didn't get better. That movie probably went to pay for Julia and Brad's respective beach houses...or perhaps there was some kind of three picture deal they were forced to sign at gun point.
2) Simply Irresistible Oh my goodness. This was showing on my college's TV channel. I kept watching cause I couldn't believe a movie could be so bad. It was fascinating. I had never seen anything so ridiculous before. I called my roommate in to see the scene where the people dining in the restaurant all start to cry after eating their meal.
These movies are so bad it makes me angry.

Ooooh, Andrew. If I wasn't in such a jolly mood I'd have taken off my glove and slapped you in the face with it.
A movie cannot possibly ever be horrible if we see Jude Law's fine ass in it. Thank you. 8)
GATTACA - one word... BORING!
It was probably boring for you because there wasn't enough Jude.
-
I liked GATTACA...I liked it a lot actually

hey, you're right!
-
Worst Movie . . . Anger Management; Alright. It just sucked guys. It was one of those movies where I could predict what would happen, and that's bad.
The best movies are . . . Casualties of War, 61, Sorority Boys, A Very Brady Sequel, and The Good Girl[/b]
-

The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Holes
and Castaway (Uggh, i hated castaway, everyone loved it except my family and the person that went with us)
CASTAWAY! I love that movie punk! haha
Uhm... Worst movies I can think of:
Abandon or whatever that one is called that has Katie Holmes in it where she's psycho. She's great but the movie was pathetic...
Unfaithful... yukkie
-
CASTAWAY! I love that movie punk! haha
there is something wrong with you! 2 hours of a man talking to a volleyball is NOT a good thing.... :D
-
I agree with that girl *points at Ms. Redd*, Castaway was great!
-
"IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY CHOICES, DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE BAD TASTE..."
I hope you're aware that that made NO SENSE at all.
I think you meant to say "IF YOU DISAGREE WITH MY CHOICES, IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I HAVE BAD TASTE..."
That almost makes sense.
But see, that still doesn't work. because, in fact, it DOES mean you have bad taste. Because if you list a bunch of GOOD movies as the worst movies of all time, it means, by definition, that you have bad taste.
Do you know what BAD means? Do you know what TASTE means? Look them up, then put them together.
duh.

thank you... i was waiting for someone to tell me i'm dumb... thank you, again...
i could not think of any reason why you would attack (i hate saying that word) someone like me... please remind me of whatever i said or done to you which made me your ENEMY NO. 1, and i'll apologize... if that would be the way for you to quit the insults...
ok i'll stop now... i don't want to further grudges, hate, war... let's just move on without stepping on each other... ok?

btw, regarding the jude quote there, it's just a strange/unintentional coincidence... happens to everyone...

I dont see why me telling you that you have bad taste in movies instantly means I think you're dumb or that im attacking you. I wasn't attacking you or trying to hurt your feelings or whatever. So if I hurt your feelings, im sorry.
I was just letting you know that your taste in movies is horrible. That Doesn't mean I dont like you or that I think you're dumb... just that I will never trust your opinions on movies
You are hardly my enemy #1.... I dont play favorites

No come on. Just cause its got some hot guy half naked in it doesn't make it a good movie.
I mean, by that rationale I would have to declare The Gift a good movie just because it has Katie Holmes naked in it.
However, the Gift is a bad bad movie. But damn Katie Holmes has nice juggs.

mark this day in history!

:?
worst movie ever has to be Abandon. OH MY GOD, what a waste of $4.50.
the sad part is, my friend dragged me to go see it, and we were the only 2 people there. it was as if someone had warned everone but us about the sucktitude of this movie. i seriously felt that i would die of boredom halfway during the movie. i almost started crying at the horrible fate that had brought that steaming pile of dung to my local theatre. Katie Holmes should know better to be in a movie like that. i give it a -10/10.
To the person that did not like the ring: maybe you didn't understand the backstory well enough, eh? i knew all about the mythos of the ring before it even came out, from checking out this cool website about the japanese films and books. True, Ringu was better and scarier (pulled out my nightlight from days past), but you can't deny naomi watts is smoking hot! :P
gattaca was also a good movie.
-
:

Damn right she is! Word!

hey Grak,
have you seen mulholland drive?
i saw it when it came out on dvd, and while i amd still trying to understand the plot, naomi was awesome in it.
-
umm I have come to the conclusion that Mulholland Drive was a cruel joke to the movie going public...
-
all of lynch's screenplays make no sense..
even naomi and laura elana harring said they didnt know what the hell was going on..
-

lol.
I saw the important parts
I learned YEARS ago never to watch anything directed by David Lynch. I watched his first film, Eraser Head, when I was in HS. Ugh.

The original (which, might I say, is SPANISH!! ) is soooo much better!! Vanilla Sky looks like a crap copy of it! So yes, you should watch the original: "Abre los ojos" by Alejandro Amenabar (director of The Others), starring Eduardo Noriega, Fele Martinez, Penelope Cruz, Chete Lera, & Nawja Nimri (a friend's sister! :D )
-
i think cast away is kinda cool though.
worst movies ever watched:
Chucky II
Mulholland Drive
Vanilla sky

i have this crazy thing sometimes, reacting so sensitively on things... i'm still trying to overcome it... so, forgive me...
truth be told, i was offended by your remarks, hurt by them actually... but since you've apologized, i accept your apology...
"there are some things better left unsaid..." so, i would suggest that people would watch what they say, and how they say it... because words can hurt much more than knives do...
so, to all people out there, if you have something to say against the belief system of others, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... think twice (or more) before you say it...
just a suggestion...

 Really sucked, "Haunted House" sucked big butt!
