Title: how much time does it take you to complete a bath?
Post by: icebox13 on May 19, 2003, 07:28:11 am
i was just wondering?

it takes me at least 30 mins... i know it's too long... for the person waiting next to me, that is... but that's just on regular days... when i'm almost late.. imagine me taking a one hour bath... or until my fingers get wrinkles...

Well it all depends on how much of a rush I am in I suppose. Avg is 10-15 minutes though.

If I had a bath I might know. Don't tend to get many of those at Uni though.
Shower takes 5 mins or so, no point hanging around.

w00t, I am not the only one that reads in the bathtub.  Everytime I say that people look at me funny.  anyways, I have only had one problem with reading a book in the bathtub, and that is because I am a bit of an idiot... I dropped the book in the water, rofl.  But I'm usually not that stupid.

ha, I find it funny that you all spend so long in the shower\bath, I'm used to being in and done in with the shower in usually less than 5 minutes, just seems weird to take so long, but I'm probably weird for not taking long enough, right?

I read in the tub too, but it gets kinda annoying if your hands get wet and then you accidentally touch your book or something. or drop it...that's happened to me alot of times.

I don't usually get in the tub because standard tubs are way too small to actually get into.  I like to be able to move around a bit.  In the shower, however, 20 is the maximum, though 13 is more average.  It's not at all unheard of for me to take a 45-minute shower if I come home tired and sore for work.  It really does help to loosen me up. :)

I'm not allowed to take baths and never have been because of my skin problems.

I'd say about 45 minutes. When I take a bath I like to relax with lavender in the water, soft music, and candles.

When I saw this thread, I was wondering why that person hadn't posted yet either.

I am so not a morning person so I would rather sleep than stay in the shower. My showers are usually about 10-15 mins.

Usually about 15-20 minutes for a shower. I only have a bath like once a year, I love showers much more, I always feel dirty when I've hopped out of the bath! But my two sisters are freaks...they'll have an 1-2 hour bath and then hop in the shower for 30 minutes after their bath!  :?

Kramer on Seinfeld explained it the best when he explained why he took showers and not baths...........you sit in a pool of your own filth for who knows how long, redirtying yourself; an interesting point

The last two places I've rented didn't have a bath so I haven't had one in
over two years... that has saved a lot of water though (I don't think H2O
conservation has come up anywhere in this thread yet). Anyways shower
time for me is like 5-10 minutes (I'd like to keep them shorter, but I also
have very thick hair). I only waste more water on wintery mornings or if
I've had a shift in the restaurant where I end up sweaty or 'seafoody' :P

Peace
