i'm the same, but i voted for piano, becaue the sound is soooo much better
but i'm also better at the keyboard
-
i don't play the piano or keyboard
but i like my comp keyboard so i ticked keyboard
-
I mean, I love the feel and tone of a piano for most classical music or piano based schtuff. But, when I want an organ, a piano isn't going to cut it and decent organs are really hella expensive. I just recently bought a swell pedal and a foot keyboard controller to use with my synths. Two words: Utter shweetness.

both

I love pianos but I love using special effects on keyboards plus they are easier to take with you ya know?

LOL!
I put piano 'cause I like them more. BUT keyboards always have those funky little sounds or instruments and whatnot . . . but a piano is better to play. Keyboards' keys are always too . . . um . . . light-feeling and weird. Not right, at all.
-
I've never played on a real piano...only my little kiddie keyboard...does that count??? lol I know how to play twinkle twinkle little star and green sleeves and mary had a little lamb. hehe
-
pianos are kool
-
pianos are the bestest. But a little inconvenient for travelling to gigs...
-
Pianos...
I just recently got the chance to play a Steinway...it sounds and feels like heaven...you can tell the difference.
-
Piano. It provides a classic sound. 'Nessa plays it, and songs like Roll Me Away by Bob Seger and Love and Lonliness by Chris Tompson wouldn't be the same with the keyboard.

And during the school year, I play one every day in Jazz band.
To tell you the truth, Steinway makes some awesome grands. Their uprights suck though......
-
i hate the weight of the keyboard keys
i makes me mad becuase it is so light
GOTTA LOVE THE BABY GRAND

My keyboard has weighted keys...so they're not heavy. But admittedly it's not the same.
-
Piano :-) Sounds beautiful! Key board is nice too for practicing (for me anyways)
-
both but i loooove the piano over the keyboard....
-
I guess both is okay, but I chose piano because it has a better sound. Well, unless you have my piano, it sucks.
-
I chose piano. It's better to play becuase lots of keyboards haven't got weighted keys. I know, it's easier to play, but if you accustom to play in keyboards you'll have more difficulties to play in a real piano.
-
I think it's easier to play a piano than a keyboard, personally...but maybe that's 'cause I grew up using a piano. :D
-
well, piano.. but my piano turned to shit, so i got a yamaha p120 keyboard that is amazing, so i can play it in my room at 2am without disturbing anyone, i can take it places, and record music , soooo keyboard is more convenient, piano is more formal.. better sound and for performing

I have the same piano!
Though I still can't play it at 2 am cuz my parents can still hear the keys hit (idk how but they can).

If I'm going to play a keyboarded instrument that's supposed to sound like a piano, then I'd much rather play an actual piano. Even if it's an upright, it still beats an electronic box of junk. Now if I'm playing something that's supposed to sound like a synthesizer or something, then I'll play on a keyboard, no problem. 8)

i got the craziest gift this christmas!

Yeah, I'm wondering that too, since students are notorious for being broke. :?
-
I'd guess that it's really a keyboard. I've seen and played them before. They feel really crappy, but they work.

I dunno. The s90es beats most uprights, in my opinion. Plus, you don't have to mike it. Just plug it in.

I've never played one, but if you'll get me one for my birthday, I'll see about doing an endorsement. 8)

itt plays horribly but its funny to watch cause its so weird looking

I find that recording of Saint-Saëns funny.
-
Mmmmm..... I love the feel and tone of a well-tuned, well-tempered piano, but I also LOVE my Triton Extreme!!!
Both are necessities!
-
I voted for what I prefer to listen to. Fortunately for V she had the luxury of a
Korg Triton as backup in Auckland when her Piano was broken; saved face :P

A piano is better!!!!!

Piano's, definetley.

Tritons aren't even fully weighted!

Tritons aren't even fully weighted!
Well, they supposedly are, but more & more I don't like how mine feels. It is so much easier for me to play on a real piano.
-
Piano. It's such a beautiful, lush, rich-sounding instrument. About the only thing that keyboards are useful for is synthesizing and MIDI recording/overdubbing.
-
Piano. Definitely. But does anybody know a good keyboard... one that feels and plays like a piano? I thought the Korg Triton was one of the best... but I guess it has its shortcomings. Are there any keyboards out there that are virtually flawless? I bet they cost a fortune if they're out there though...
