BLOOD

Heart thumping, eyes pinned
Teeth clenched, white knuckles
Pain surges underneath while
Tears soften appearances
Speeding words shot from tongues
Bleeds sores that lie within
Scabs and scars thicken
Slamming and banging surfaces
Walls shaking, trembling ground
Blackness invades, eyes shut
Still there, also gone
Be alone, let it toughen up
Be ready for more
