Wow..... ok. You go on the list of peoples whos opinion about music doesn't count.

TBS are awesome, but they sound NOTHING like good charlotte or New Found Glory. They are about as different from those bands as they are from say, oh, Metallica.

Talk about misclassification.

Ok, let me explain something to you. There are opinions, and there are facts. For example, if you say "I THINK 2+2=5" then you aren't very bright, but technically correct because you said "I think".

If you had said "I THINK TBS sounds like.. blah" then I would have said "you know nothing about music" but you would still be allowed your opinion.

However, you said "TBS Sounds like... blah". Which, is an incorrect statement. They do NOT sound like NFG or Good Charlotte. it is not an "opinion". It is a fact. They dont. Different strumming, different vocals, very different tempo, very different production work, completely different STYLES of music.

There is nothing EMO about NFG or good charlotte. GC is heavily HIP HOP influenced and what ive heard of NFG sounds like a bad Blink pop clone.

Fact vs Opinion. See the difference?

As for "why do I have to be so rude". Because, ignorance spouted as FACT, pisses me off. Do your research and be prepared to defend ANY claims you make OR ELSE be prepared to be ridiculed. Its the facts of life. People cannot, and should not, be able to get away with making a public statement without being able to support it.

And Taking Back Sunday IS awesome. They are part of a very original movement in music. Hell, they were one of the earlier emo-rock bands to come out. But thats an OPINION im stating. Which means people are allowed to disagree. Unlike a FACT. Which has a definitative right or wrong answer.

Am I making sense to you here?

Their website claims that they aren't broken up and that we should ignore news reports.

This is as of the 16th though. I would think that if they had officially called it quits they would have posted it on their site.

Frankly, they are rapidly becoming one of my favorite bands, so if they do break up, i'll be really dissapointed.

I don't think I ever posted the update, but they did NOT break up, obv. They actually dropped two band members and picked up two members from breaking pangea. Then the remaining members of BP formed with the two guys who left TBS to form Straylight Run. Weirdness.

I must say, as much as it sucks for TBS that they had to lose two members, it really was for the better. Straylight Run rocks my freakin socks man. And Breaking Pangaea.....much love for them as well, much love. BUT, they both can not compare to TBS. Though SR is right up there. They even went on tour with TBS.

I must agree with Andrew's previous post that TBS is all kinds of awesome. wow.....i agree with Andrew.....did I just feel the earth stop? :-P jk.

haha well, ya never know, we did agree on Punk and "punk", which no one has ever agreed with me on, so anything's possible :-P
