I have one and it works but only a few times on each cd, some cd's just wont repair

The bottom of each cd is actually coated with a hard wax solution, if it scratches then you can remove some of the layer using the cd cleaner, however eventually the layer runs thin and you are out of luck, so it depends what the cd is worth to you, also depends how badly you treat your cd's....i suggest trying to buff the scratches out with a small amount of toothpaste and water first

I had some CD scratch remover once, but blah, never got significant results.  Usually when a CD starts to get bad I'll just put it in the computer and make a new copy.  I've always thought that CDs should be made of glass or should be in a cartridge where the playing surface is never exposed outside the player.  That's my main hangup on ever buying a DVD player.  The next great medium should be like that.

Sorry i missed this, i was trying not to overpost

Anyways the best thing you can use is probably an old t shirt or some other soft cotton....paper towels and washrags will cause more scratches....but usually when i do it i put a little toothpaste on my finger and rub it in then rinse the cd off and dry with my shirt
