Well until it does or doesn't, we'll have to live in hope. Where else can I feel justified in posting complete nonsense? ; )
If you look at the big picture, I would have thought it has to be up eventually. It's not like they can just drop it. I just want to know what's taking so long, from a curious techy's point of view more than anything =)

That's the whole thing that convinces me. Being down for this long can only mean two things as far as I can see.
1. They've dumped the forum
2. They're upgrading the forum
They've already dumped the UK site without warning or substitute and they never had time for that forum in the past (with the moderator situation) so it seems unlikely they'd be upgrading it for us.
But hopefully I'm wrong (and may well be).

Just seems strange to me that they'd drop the forum of a popular artist like that .. especially considering the amount of traffic that was going through there. What I do find odd is the complete lack of communication. I think people would be a lot happier if they were made aware of the situation.

True, true. But, again, I'd switch to Mr. Negative mode and say that such a lack of communication shows that they don't really care about the board or keeping it's users. More evidence that they've killed it off.

I remember way back in the day the Christina Aguilera (I actually thought she had potential then) website had a live chat room, but it went unmoderated and eternally off-topic. Shelly Kearns (her mother and fanclub president) tried to find some people who would be dedicated to be moderators at various times, and she visited the room a few times and asked us what we thought. Ultimately, she decided to close the chat room completely, and several of us lost touch forever, but I still have some online friends that I met there.
