Title: Only One Person

I wrote this a long time ago, but I still love it.

I am only one person
In this great big place called earth
One out of many
Yet an individual

I am only one person
I want the hatred to end
And for everyone to see there's a better way
A better way than fighting

I am only one person
As I cry out for peace
I can't help but think my efforts are wasted
Because no one seems to hear

I am only one person
How do I stop the pain?
One is surely not enough, I think
Many more are needed

I am only one person
Trying to do my best
Sometimes failing
But always trying again

I am only one person
But there are many more who want peace
If we could all band together
Who knows what may become of it

So, yes, I am only one person
But the world is not so big
That one person cannot change it
So I will continue to try

we are all like grains of sand.. so many ... so futile... but sand built a pyramid by combining the many.. gives us all hope right
