What is a good mp3 downloading program (kazaa, limewire) that doesn't use spyware stuff?

The old fashioned way. Find the files and delete them off the disk ;)

You'll still have a bunch of junk registry entries, but they won't hurt.

Does it say that on a black (DOS like) screen and prompt for a key press while windows is loading? Or does it pop up that error when you enter windows?

Cool. Try what scott said. Check startup menus and such.

If not, you could try redownloading & reinstalling bullguard. It should get rid of the errors and keep your dad in the dark. Then you can figure out how to uninstall it properly (or just turn it off) at your leisure :)
