Title: Confessions of an Insomniac

Ok, so the title doesn't really fit the song, but....oh well.

the sun is up but as usual I'm not
I'm still covered in my blankets with my eyes closed
dreaming of a far off land
I don't want to wake up
cause waking up means facing life
I don't wanna face another day of crappy t.v. and pizza rolls
I'm sleeping through "the best years of my life"

(chorus)
I've gotten to the point where the best way to pass the day
is to just sleep it out
hoping when I wake up tomorrow will be better

the sun is down but as usual I'm not
I've found it hard to sleep at night
when I sleep all day
sometimes I wish I wasn't up at night
when every creak is magnified
so mostly I lie in the dark thinking crazy thoughts
and finally when most are going to work
I'm finally going to sleep
I admit, I sleep past noon
but there's nothing wrong with that when

the days blur together
I couldn't tell you the date if you asked
and the best way to pass the day is to just sleep it out
