NEW YORK - Vanessa Carlton will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" before next week's All-Star game and Michael Buble will sing the Canadian anthem.

Amy Grant, a five-time Grammy Award winner, will sing "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch.

Carlton released her debut recording, "Be Not Nobody," last year and earned three Grammy nominations.

Buble's first recording was released in February.

The Chicago White Sox (news) will host the All-Star game on July 15.

Then again, it is the all star game... you never know.

Everything GOOD happens in New York!

They could have the All-Star games here. Yes, at River-Front Stadium, or something like that. It's the best field in the nation, out of Major and Minor League fields. The announcer told me.

AND! Louisville Slugger factory is here, so if they ran out of bats, they could just go to Main Street and get another one.
