Title: One of my good friends is having open heart surgery

Karl, my friend since i was 3 is having open heart surgery on wednesday. He was born with a heart condition and had open heart surgery once already when he was little.  I know hes terrified of the whole situation because, well it is an extremely risky operation.  I'm planning on going up to see him a couple days after the surgery (as soon as im allowed to visit)... and i was hoping that you all could keep him in ur thoughts and prayers- whatever u do.  I know he'd appreciate it so much, and i would too.  I'll prolly print out this topic so that he can read it, and hopefully be happy to know that ppl were thinkin about him.  Thanks guys...

awww I hope he's ok. Good luck!! He's definently in my prayers yet I'm sure he'll be just fine! Good things happen to good people. Here's to a speedy recovery!!!!

I'm sure everything will be fine and run smoothly. He's definitely in my thoughts. Hope he recovers quickly.

I hope everything goes well and that this is the last time this has to happen. I'll be thinking some positive thoughts for ya Karl .. must be quite a scary thing to have to go through. I'm sure I speak for us all when I say we wish you all the best and a speedy recovery.

thank you so much guys!!! it means to world to me, and im sure to him.  Hes at a hospital in Syracuse right now...*praying for him*

im reallly really worried... i was supposed to hear from one of his brothers bcuz they were coming home tonite. but i havent heard from them  yet and they arent home, which doesnt seem like thats a good thing at all. *scared* keepin my fingers crossed that it went ok though

its a guy, but thanks. i heard late last night that he did okay, and hes in ICU for the next couple days

*going to visit him today!!!* i'm sooo excited and proud of him.  he went into a regular room last nite and the replaced his valve in his heart successfully and theres been no complications or nething! yay
