Man...
I wonder what the chances of Carnival being on the next cd coming out will be... I mean, I know its a demo or whatever, but this song, god I've had it for sometime now, but I just started listening to it all over again yesterday, and I'm hooked. This is a song that probably I like just as much as ATM...
GREAT SONG! And I wish she would have it out on a record because then it'd be a for sure it, everyone would love it, and it'd probably come out on some sorta Kareoke-something...
I know I don't know much about Nessa or anything, but definately love her talent... and I'm SO excited about the new cd, I'm just twitching with anticipation!! I love to sing, maybe you already know that, and its so great because Vanessa's range is pretty much the same as mine, I think she can go a tad bit lower than mine though... Anyhow, its all gravy.
*is fidgety over ATM, Carnival, BnN, the new cd, ... well yeah... Vanessa*
Dude, I wish this cd was hitting the stores already!!!!
Ms.Redd, she wishes she could go see Vanessa in concert.

Hmm... have you heard Dark Carnival before? I haven't heard it and JazzTrumpet was telling me on the O-Board that she likes Carnival just as much as Dark Carnival...
I was wondering if I could listen to it... can ya share with your ole hoo-hoo pal, Joey?? :puppydog:

maybe she will put carnival on her next CD... and not Dark Carnival... hmmm because dark carnival is kind of an exclusive song just for that videogame :-\ well what do i know ..
./\.`'-,..,-'`./\.
didnt vanessa say something like she had enough songs for like 4 new cds before... i dont know if she was just exagerating or not..but im sure theres many,MANY songs we have not heard yet and will not hear untill the cd comes out...
-
no, she said she has 14 new songs written, about 10 of which she'll use on the CD, 4 probably as BSides or something.

You know, I often play myself out to be an idiot, ... but oh well.
WHAT THE HECK ARE B-SIDES?
I always think of a tape and how it has an A and a B side, .. but why would Vanessa make a tape of songs that she doesn't have on cd, and why only on the B side???? :?
See, I am an idiot!
I just don't know what that means, never have...

Its an industry term, that stems back to when a record single (you know those round black things?) they have an A & B sides. Side A contained the radio single, side B had a bonus song.
So on singles out out now on CDs, they have the main single plus "BSide" songs.

oooohhhh... Well thanks for clearing that up...
Big black round things?? You mean, a frisbee? I hadda pink one. ;)

Usually today a 45, as they're called because of their playing speed, has a hit song on both sides, combining two CD-single A-sides on one disk, because they're mostly only used in jukeboxes now.
I have a moderately large collection of 45's for one person in my room, stuff dating from 1949 to 2002. I have yet failed to find Vanessa Carlton's pretty voice pressed into a piece of plastic anywhere!
If given a choice between buying an album on vinyl or CD, I'll always choose vinyl because I can make a CD copy of it, unless the CD has a bonus the vinyl doesn't have, and I'll go for the CD.
But yes, I am very interested to know what songs that I know of will make the cut for the album and which ones will be B-sides.
