Oh! I know what mine means in Old English (my last name isn't even from a different language, that's so mean). I have to find the little thing though. Hold on . . .
Yay! I found it. It says . . .
Don't bother reading all that. I'm confused.
Research yields two possible sourcesfor the srname Durbin. It is suggested that this name i of nckname origin, being of that categoy o surnames derived from a physical or personal characteritic of the original bearer. In this case, the the nam would be traceable to a combinatin of terms; the French "dur," meaning "firm," and "bien," meaning "good," just as the name Durbe is formed from "dur" and "beau" (fine, handsome). Thus Durbin would have been used to describe one of upright and vrtuous character. Alternatively, some scholars propose that this name is avariant of the name Duban, which has its roots in the term "ban," meaning "proclamation." In this instance, the name woud be occupational in origin, being derived from a man's position or the profession he pursued, here, undoubtedly, tat of the town-crier, who went about the town announcin the news of the day and issuing proclamations from the king. This name, as is clear from its etymological roots, is of French origin an it is probable that this name was intoduced to England following the Norman Invasion of the 11th century. Bearers of this name in England, today, are undoubtedly descended from these early French settlers.

You know, we have a high school around here (not really anywhere close to where I live, but it's in Louisville) called Seneca. Yeah, Justin was just over, that's where he goes. People get jumped there all the time. And it's where my Mom threatens to send my brother if he gets bad grades. :D

Blame society. That's what I would do.
-
Society is the devil. Satan, I tell you. Lucifer, Himself!
-
Lucifer is a cool name. Shame they wasted that on the devil
-
Lucifer is the cat's name in the Disney version of Cinderella.
In the REAL version of Cinderella, the evil step-sisters cut off their toes and heels to make the shoe fit. And then, when Cinderella and the Prince go to get married, pigeons peck the step-sisters' and step-mom's eyes out, and the Prince then has them beheaded.
Such a nice children's story. ;D

I know. And you know how I know that's what happens? 'Cause I'm not illiterate! I think Kentucky was like, the 26th most illiterate state at one point in time. But, since I was born and started attending school, the people who make those placings are like "Wow! This kid is really smart! Kentucky's not illiterate anymore because of her!"
LMAO
-
Yes, you saved kentucky from illiteracy
-
I did! When I was a little chump in kindergarten, my teacher picked me and Jeremiah, the long haired kid, to go see the mayor! Yay! And he had this gold shovel with a ribbon around it (???).
-
Yes, you saved kentucky from illiteracy
Hmm.... I was illiterate before CeCe was born. So it must be true.
