I LOVE my uniform! It's comfortable!
I don't wanna go back though . . .
I go back september 4th

No, black is the mixture of all colors. White is the absent of all colors.
We don't have to wear dress shoes up in here. Nope. Just regular tennis shoe looking things, I guess.

Grrrrrrrr!

Our uniforms soooo don't match at all.
Let's see . . .
- Our sweatshirts are maroon/burgandy looking things with the OMOS thing at the top, near your left arm (where most schools' logos are).
- We can choose between maroon polo shirts and white polo shirts. But only the maroon shirts have the logo on them.
- Our skirts are like, hard to explain. Let me see if Shaheen's has a picure on their website . . . (before I post the picture of our skirts, I want you all to know how well this girl (http://www.shaheens.net/images/40_image.gif), off Shaheen' website, matches) . . .
Anyway, here's our skirts' pattern: (http://www.shaheens.net/images/98_swatch.gif) (minus the 53)
And then pnts and shorts are just navy blue slacks. Understood?

It's okay, you're right - neither is a color.
-
our uniforms dont really match all the time either...
*baby blue or pink skirts
*dark blue, forest green or white polo shirts
if you wear the white polo, its fine, but people wear like the forest green one with the pink skirt all the time... lol.
-
I'll have to take pictures of my uniform.
I have polo's too.
-
We love polos! And Holly, I seriously don't know what the fuck your school's thinking. . . No offense.

I want these (http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/images/p36754.jpg)

Since it's I'm in the 8th grade class, we get navy blue hoodies, with a big 04 on the back and our signatures in it, and on the front it has a little "OMOS," in white, for our sweatshirts instead of having regular maroon ones, and instead of having to wear polos under them, we get to wear white t-shirts with a big 04 on the back in maroon and the same OMOS logo on the fron left boob.
We can only wear those under our sweatshirts 'cause you can't see them.

I think everyone should just go to school naked. But the building should be really steamy where you can't see anyone else.

thats an interesting idea...I truly wonder where you came up with this idea/(fantasy?)
-
I hate the idea of uniforms because it strips us of our ability to express ourselves with what we wear. And I don't think we should just wear whatever we want to wear because some people have no sense of coordination or appropriateness, so we just shouldn't get to wear clothes at all. But in the interest of protecting our privacy and perhaps to save embarrassment, the room should be either too dark or too steamy to see anything.
That was my thought process anyway. But believe me, I don't think it's a good idea. My better idea? I think we should all wear heather-gray sweatsuits. They're comfortable, coordinated, always appropriate, and damn sexy!

again...an interesting idea

Uniforms show discipline.
I have more reasons, I wrote a paper on it. Hold on.
-
Uniforms are a very affective way to show discipline. Showing discipline is necessary for families considering Catholic School. New and upcoming families feel relieved when they find their child is learning and interacting with other children in a safe environment.
Secondly, the uniforms separate Catholic Schools from Public Schools. Is there any reason Catholic Schools should have any relation to Public Schools? The separation of Church and state was made years ago, and Catholic Schools have never been considered equal to Public Schools, why start now?
Why do some find it necessary for schools to seem open-minded and liberal? Is a schools goal to be open-minded and liberal? Is its goal to be accepting of different styles and ways of life? People need to stop looking at politically correct views and focus on the primary ways of education . . . NOT LIFE.
There is no need for Catholic Schools to seem liberal, open-mnded, and/or accepting. That wasn't the first Catholic School's goal. We were separated by Church and state. It's been almost 200 years, why stop now?
(No one get mad, it was written for a grade.)

uniforms are cool for a while...but then they suck after like a couple weeks lol. Casual is so fun! I've actually come to my new public school wearing my old private school uniform...but modified...tears and tie-ups...somewhat a la Britney spears au hit me baby one more time. I'm a slut you say!? outta my face!
-

Really? How? People behave differently when they all wear the same?
-
I like uniforms--I don't have to think at all about having clothes clean or wearing the same thing with in [however] long a period of time.
Not to mention they're sexy! lol
-
Well, there you go. Discipline has never represented well in my life. Just do what's right and don't worry about the rules. That's my philosophy.
Also, I'm opposed to observing the Sabbath on Sunday.
-
Uniforms SOOOOOO have an affect on how kids act. You all think we just have to wear similar things everday. The fact is, we have to to wear the SAME kind of and colored shirts, pants or skirts, sweatshirts (if needed), socks, etc. every day. Boys have to wear belts with their pants and shorts. Our shirts always have to be tucked in. Little shit like that that SHOWS how well-disciplined we are. THAT's the reason uniforms are an affective way to show discipline . . . Which is how you know how a kid's gonna act by his uniform and if it's worn correctly. Traditional schools piss me off . . . They're sooo not even close to Catholic Schools. They think they are. It's sad.
PS Uniforms are sexy. Ask Kevin.
-
I do NOT wear belts, and unless I'm in a situation where my job requires it, I NEVER tuck my shirt into my pants. I think that is so tacky looking!!! :P
-
Then again, Zuriel, you're nota Catholic School boy, hun. That's the difference between you and them.
-
I'd rather wear tighty whiteys and a gown than tuck my shirt in!
