Title: Best Vocals Pt. 2

Some of these girls are known for their songwriting, others not, but oh well... Anyway, which do you think has the best vocals?

My Choices:

Jewel - She has such a sweet voice, and her live stuff is absolutely amazing, but I wouldn't vote her as the best vocalist. 8/10
Vanessa Carlton - Great talent, good vocals. Her vocals have gotten better, but still aren't awesome compared to the likes of the Jessicas. 8/10
Avril Lavigne - Definately a studio singer, but she is known as a songwriter, so I put her on thurr. Great voice on her CD, bad live. 5.5/10
Michelle Branch - Doesn't have great range live, but good in studio. Great guitar player but....   7/10
Jessica Weiser - Friggin great voice. I love it, but not the best ever. Still pretty awesome for one who writes the songs.  8.5/10
Mandy Moore - She really evolved into such a good singer on her 3rd CD. I really like her voice, it sounds so sweet! Hehe.... 8/10
Britney Spears - Blurghhhh... If anyone votes for her, I will be mad , her vocals suck lollipops. 3/10
Norah Jones - Good jazz voice, but otherwise not great range, not a great pianist. She is still pretty good vocally.  6.5/10
Jessica Simpson - My pick. Jessica has such a strong, meaningful voice and she's not afraid to let you know. She should've been on the other list. 9/10

Tell me any other singer/songwriters with good vocals and if I know them I will add them. (Besides Delta)

out of those choices, i'd have to say Jessica Simpson! i meant to put her on mine... but i forgot! Jessica isnt my fave singer out of those (but i love her music) but i just think she has the best voice

Jewel - She does that scary man sounding thing, especially in "Who will saaaaaaaave your soul," it's horrid. She gets no ratings from moi.
Vanessa Carlton - She sings through her nose a lot, and it pisses me off. They do some vocal-making-uppers in the studio too so she doesn't sound EXACTLY  like she does live as she does in the studio, which also makes me mad.
Avril Lavigne - I hate her.
Michelle Branch - She's awesomely good, I love her.
Jessica Weiser - Ahhh!  should probably hear some of Jessica's work, eh?
Mandy Moore - She looks weird and moves her mouth funkily. I don't like it.
Britney Spears - She's retarded.
Norah Jones - She can't sing worth shit.
Jessica Simpson - She has a big forehead, and not the best voice.

Wow, you may be opinionated, but at least you have your stuff straight to back up your opinions! :)

I actually like to hear Vanessa's nose-and-throat tones. :wink:

Alanis fo' sho'. Not Bjork, though. (Lol, just my opinion.) I like Natalie Imbruglia a lot, too. Actually just her first album, but don't nominate her.

i voted for Michelle cus she sings great live and on the album.But vanessa is great too but wen she sings live she goes from a high note to a low note and it doesnt sound good

i'd say Jewel, Vanessa, and Jessica are all ties for me. They each have amazing voices in their own right.....too hard to choose.....but out of impulse i picked Jewel

lol..Not to be judgemental or anything but how can vanessa have a better voice then mandy moore and jewel, i am sorry but just because i am somewhat a fan doesnt mean i'm going to say vanessa because honestly..vanessa does not have the best voice..she is Okay...and only okay..i'm going to give mandy moore props though because she can sing and has an heavenly voice...jessica simpson, michelle branch ,and jewel is great too...but not the greatest, now as for the rest...i dont pay much attention too :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:
....but  despite this all John Mayer has the best male voice from what i heard so far....btw John Mayer rocks my socks....John Mayer is a hottie..John mayer is awesome..I LOVE john mayer..and hope to meet him someday.. :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen: Fuel is amazing..nickelback.......3 doors down.....Mercy Me.....josh kelley..........is the kind of music i like listening to nowadays anyway and some christian music.. :D
