the first track from this album (EXPLOSIVE) is being used in Australia as the main theme for Athens 2004!

After making its debut in the ARIA charts @ #45, "Classified" jumped straight
into the top ten @ #6; first classical CD to do this since Westenra's "Pure" 8)

Title: Bond. (violin quartet)
Post by: HappyZen on October 03, 2004, 04:42:33 am
Ok ... no lyrics, no words no voices ... just instruments.

These are a violin quartet ...

kind of Vanessa Mae style... with vanessa mae being the pioneer of electric violin ... but these girls are a quartet, and they make things very fun.
They've played EVERYWHERE and for EVERYONE!!!

The've funked up "classical" music ... they're raunchy wear barely their clothes to make classical music sexy and can attract a new legion of fans ... and they are amazing on their instruments.

Their latest CD is funked up renditions of old classics ...
If you don't mind the non-singing type song ... then seriously grab this CD ... I'll burn them and send it if you want :-) or holler me online LOL :-)
It's dancy it's happy it's really good ... good mood music ... not "come down" music rather ... "pre going out" music

There are links to their songs where you can give them a try ...
or buy ;-)
Or watch them play.

it's good .. veyr good!!! :-)

Most of the girls have honours in their music degrees, graduated from places as the Royal music or the Trinity colleges of London. One of the Aussies from the Sydney conservatorium which is SSSOOO exclusive here ... so it's not like they're not capable ...

Bond is their "fun" thing ... but each individually has an amazing solo career and are very accomplished in their own right.
The Aussie blonde has been touring recently with the Australian symphony or the Australian chamber something or other I read somwhere ...

But unfortunately Scott it's the spice girls that sold millions of copies, and it's the spice girls that appeal to the masses thus make money thus get signed up. So when you go and do a classical acoustic album for < 100 people to buy, yeah you won't get many ppl wanting to sign you up.
So until classical acoustic stuff is appreciated by the masses who make up the bulk of sales, then they will present palatable dribble.
