Title: Slightly O/T: Recording?

I'm not sure if this goes in this section, but, uh, it has to do with my music so I figured it does... :lol:

I really want to start recording my songs and putting them up on the internet for all you to listen to. But...I have no idea how to go about this. Any suggestions/comments/etc?

Let's see, what I do is, I record whatever and save it, then go to an uploading place, and upload it and post the URL.

That's how I do it, and remember I'm retarded.

Do you record it straight to the computer with a mic thingy for the computer? I did that a couple of times with my old computer, but the quality was never really good. My new computer doesn't have a mic...so maybe I should get one. :razz:

Yeah, through the computer. Sometimes it's really suck-ass, like when I have the air conditioning on (a vent is right beside the desk) but other times it's pretty good. I mean it's not awesomely clear, but it's good enough.

 What kind of computer do you have?

I have a Dell. But no mic. And therein lies my problem. LOL.

*Supposedly* if you have headphones, you can plug THEM into the microphone outlet on your CPU and use them like a microphone.

OK, wow, I finally got off my lazy butt and tried it. Doesn't sound too bad. I just reminded myself what a God-awful voice I have. Seriously, I can't sing, so don't expect to be hearing any songs from me.  :oops:
