According to both Fox and CNN news.

He was just released from the hospital.

Oh that's sad.
I didn't really know his songs but I knew he was a big star in the country world.

i think i knew he was going to die..it was weird, because they had it on mtv that he was resting at home, and i was thinking he is dead...and this morning my mom told me...

i love his version of "hurt".

this sucks but his wife just died a few months ago so I figured it wouldn't be long for him. his latest video was a cover of nine inch nails "hurt".


"Ring of Fire" was the best song he ever did and his wife wrote the words or so I've been told.

I cried when I heard the news this morning.  Johnny Cash was an amazing person.  He was supposed to start work on his next album soon... the music world will never be the same without him.  But he's got to be so happy to be back together with June (his wife).

Everybody should take a few minutes to watch the video for his cover of Hurt.  You can find it at launch.yahoo.com, among other places.  It's a beautiful, albeit sad, tribute to his life.

We'll miss you, Mr. Cash.
