Something I wrote a while back...


Just Another Day

I wake up in the morning
Open my eyes
I look out the window
And see more grey skies
It’s just another day, I realise

I walk out of the house
The rain is pouring down
Sometimes I wish the whole world would flood
And I could just drown

Moments blur into each other
I can’t tell one face from another
I keep trying to hide
But I’m running out of cover

I walk through the world
Go through the day
Lay down at last
Close my eyes and drift away

In my dreams…
