what nessa songs can any of u pplz play?? i can play ATM and Ordinary Day perfectly and a bit of paradise, most of Twilight and some of Pretty baby. how bout u......???

Hey Timbo,

That's cool. I can't play anything :-/ I wish I'd learnt an instrument at some point, but hey maybe I still will.

A small request: Can you please shrink your avatar? That avatar is too large. It messes up the table alignments on the board. 100 pixels wide is really as big as they can get without messing up the layout. It's the same story with that pic in your sig I'm afraid. It's too big to be appearing in every post.

We have removed your avatar/sig, let us know when you have it scaled them down and we'll restore them :-) If you need any help shrinking the images, let me know. Thanks

i just started learning ordinary day like a few days ago.. its not that hard so ive got most of it down, umm i can play most of paradise..and all of wanted (god i love that song) the begining of unsung, rinse, superhero,  and i think thats it.. i usually just learn the like first page of most of the songs cos i get bored when you're dealing with like 8 pages.. maybe its cos of my ADD.. who knows, lol

My last attempt to play an instrument involved hitting a Trangia pot with some sticks I found on the floor.  I managed to tap ATM for a few minutes while my food cooked!

I have to learn how to listen to a song, so you can imagine the difficulty I might have learning to play it! :?

In reality, I did take class piano about four or five years ago, and while I wasn't able to finish the two-year class for financial reasons, I did pick up quite a bit of practical knowledge there.

But now like I say, this was four or five years ago, and I haven't played much at all since then - I hadn't even touched a musical instrument in a year until last week! 8O

So I'm having to reteach my eyes and hands what they're supposed to do to make little balls, flags, and lines on a sheet of paper become beautiful melodies and harmonies.:)

But Vanessa is the inspiration that's making me do it, and slowly but surely I'm relearning by playing "A Thousand Miles".  I have the verse in great shape and by the end of this week I want to be able to play it for the family.  I'm also going to learn "Imagine" and "Stairway to Heaven".  My birthday's coming up, so the 'Be not Nobody' book is a must on my list! :wink:

I can play everything on BNN. And since I'm such a loser I figured out how to play A Thousand Miles the way Vanessa does. I will never waste hours of my life again finding live performances of her just to see the keying. BLAH... I'd tab it out for you guys too but I couldn't be arsed too.  :? It's actually a bit simpler than the way it's written in the book.

There are a lot of notes added to the published sheet music to make up for the strings and things that are on the record.  But when Vanessa plays solo, she only plays her parts and doesn't try to add string notes.  I'd still like to buy some player piano rolls that she had made. :)

hey, peeps, can you scan me some of the pieces... i know most of BNN: atm, od, wanted (widow... i played it by the ear), and twilight... but the rest, i only know the first page because in musicnotes.com the first page is free... now i havetrouble finding the rest of the pages....
