i decided to ask this question cause i saw the most distubing movie ive ever seen today! "Titus" it was very well done, amazing techniques, costumes, etc. but some of the things they did were just.... 8O :x :?
we had to watch it for film class, lol, everyone in my class had shocked looks on their faces and hands over their mouths, thats how bad it was!
lol... lets just say i will NOT be eating a pie for awhile!
-
never seen Titus...
I got 2 I'd put on this list:
"Tales From The Hood" - a ghetto version of Tales From The Crypt, but it was just straight evil and disturbing.
"Rules Of Attraction" - Now this one is disturbing, yet enjoyable. lol It fits in the category I call a "mental fuck". The Usual Suspects was a mental fuck too, but it wasnt disturbing.
-
never seen Titus...
lol... i wouldnt recommend it! very gory and eerie in parts. its a modern take on the shakespere play. the play that made him back off of plays that had to do with revenege.
but it has a great ending! very clever...

House of 1,000 Corpses
The Green Mile (the beginning . . . *dies*)
-
8O i loved the green mile, why was that disturbing?
i can't believe i cried in that film, Mr Jingles!!! (was that his name? i forgot!)
-
"A Clockwork Orange"
-
The Exorcist, The Omen, The Shining, Helter Skelter
I can't even watch the new 'disturbing' movies
-
How is it NOT disturbing, through out the movie thee are really disturbing parts (him getting electrecuted, etc.) but the beginning is terrible! All those white guys come out and see the black INNOCENT guy with the two little girls' corpses and . . . I don't like to talk about it.
-
Disturbing.. hmmm
I don't watch disturbing, gory movies..
I can take blood in movies.. but anything more than that.. Ehh..
It's funnnny.. I loved Oz.. and that was disturbing.. hmm.
The beginning of Ghost Ship was very disturbing for me..
I'm sure there are other movies, but
I just can't remember 'em at the moment

yeah ok maybe! coming from u how wanted to cut off the newbies legs! :D
-
Lol! t wasn't me . . . It was Christmas! The MEANNESS!
PS I love Stewart's Coat.
-
Ringu- Biggest Mind Fuck ever. Just thinking about it if I'm alone creeps me out. The Ring is scary too, but I think the Japanese do the whole ghost story movie thing a whole lot better.
Tales from the Hood- That was pretty disturbing. And I saw the censored version on USA!
The opening of Ghost Ship was eww. I don't know if it was disturbing, maybe near the end when you see why all of them were killed, now that was creepy.
I didn't find Rules of Attraction to be really disturbing, unless you think that that happens all the time in real life, then yeah.

It disturbed me :X
Ew that was just horrible.
-
Blair Witch Project.
Oh yeah.
I totally forgot.
-
If you get the chance, you should see Battle Royale.
What scares me is what happens if a FOX executive sees it, and makes a reality TV sho about it...
-
cast away disturbed me lol...
there was this movie i saw when i was younger and i don't know the name, but this dude would kill these people and then put them on the wall like they were on the cross...it was weird...
-
i've seen way too many..
i cant think of 'the most' one right now though :x :?
-
How about "Seven" w/ Brad Pitt. Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Spacey!!!
Now that is disturbing!!!! You know about the ending right??
-
Anything with blood and little kids and animals and women scares me. Saving Private Ryan (great movie) wasn't disturbing becuse it was about war. Not about cutting people up and making "Fish Man" out of their upper body by sewing a fake mermaid's flippy-flap thing onto them.
Also . . . Casualties of War was disturbing. The whole raping thing was too much for me. :\ Also, American History X - I hate that movie.
-
I've seen Seven, yeah that movie has a terrible ending! I HATE IT!
-
Deliverance. It's talked about on I Love the 70's but they definately don't get into exactly how disturbing it is! Everytime I hear dueling banjos I cringe.
The Bad Seed. It's an old film from the 1940's. It's not bloody or anything, just the story line plays with your head and it is one of those psychological things, like it's what you DON'T see on screen that disturbs you, it's thinking about it afterwards that does it.

SHIT I forgot about Deliverance! That movie is totally f.u.b.a.r.!
SQUEEEEL!!!

AHHHH!!! NOOOO!!! Actually it's going to be on TCM at some point this month, i'm tempted to watch it.

St. Francisville Experiment (picture Blair Witch set inside a haunted house) This was really scary.
The English Patient was disturbing because it won a friggin Oscar! LOL

ive never seen that... lol, but dueling banjos does sound scary! very creepy...
-
I think disturbing and scary are two completely different things...
Most Disturbing: I still stick with A Clockwork Orange as MOST
but I'll add KIDS, Caligula, and Scarface...possibly even Taxi Driver
Now if you want to add scary:
The Shining is scary as hell
and The Blair Witch Project because of its style creeped me out

I find it funny that this conversation started over the "movie" Titus! Like people who talk about "The Atari's Song, Boys of Summer".
For those of you who don't know, Titus is the movie adaptation of Titus Andronicus, one of Shakespere's lesser known and bloodier plays. The source material is every bit as disturbing as the movie.
What interesting through, is that it's widely accepted that Shakespere intended it to be a COMEDY. lol!

. . . Don Henley.

Hmm..Se7en, Ringu. And that one with Harrison Ford..erm..What lies beneath? No? =/

Ooh, I have that movie. That little kid was evil... Lol, she got what she deserved in the end though.

She is like my favoriteee!
It was a good movie, I thought.

I thought the movie the cell was very disturbing...that one with j. lo where she goes into the mind of a serial killer. it was really well done and I loved it because I absolutely am passionate about imagery.
-
KILL BILL 2. so much gore.the part where she just plucks out the bad one's eye is 8O :x 8O :x

Then you haven't seen 'Der Untergang' about Hitler's last days yet 8O I think that I saw at least one suicide every ten minutes or so. And not just that, but also dead bodies lying around and sick people everywhere: Really horrifying.. I saw Kill Bill2 and that one was a peace of cake compared to this one...
-
Three movies that disturbed me:
Last House on the Left
Ôdishon
Showgirls
-
It was a good movie but very disturbing "O."
-
Probably 'Elephant'
even though you found it disturbing....was it a good movie?
Not really :? no....I mean it just dragged on! 3/4 of the movie was following somebody walking across the school :?

Indeed most of David Lynch's films involve a disturbing element or theme 8O
