Robert Palmer died Friday (September 26) in Paris of a heart attack at age 54. His biggest hits were "Addicted To Love," which hit Number One in 1986; "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On," which reached Number Two that same year; and "Simply Irresistible," which spent two weeks at Number Two in 1988.
Damn if some pretty big icons aren't deciding to take off a bid earlier than expected...

I know... its very tragic.

Oh, that's really sad.
I liked his songs! he was an icon of the 80's (well, in Europe at least, I don't know about the US).
R.I.P. Mr Palmer.
Damn, 2003 has been sucky, we lost a lot of great singers (Barry White, etc...)

He did a great record with the Meters and Little Feat as his backup band...... Why do all these folks die early?

it seems quite a few celebs are dying this month. RIP
