My 2 best friends I met my freshman year of highschool (9 years ago) and are still my best friends today.
But I also got some best friends online too, they probably know me even better than the friends 2 above.
Each has a different dynamic, it's hard to say which is the better friendship. But to answer the poll, I'd say "school".

Anyway, school probably. Yeah, and through you friends at school, you meet kids from other schools, etc. See?

Yeah, same here. Met my best friend about 7 years ago in HS but most o my other friends these days came from the nessaholic community.

Post by: Lucy-san on October 09, 2003, 07:24:29 pm: this is a really good question...I dunno its hard to say...I have the most friends at school naturally...but I always find I'd rather be with my outside of school friends who are friends of mine through my older sisters, and aren't in high school anymore for the most part. I'd have to say for quantity, school, but for quality school, through family. And everyone knows quality before quantity. So yeah :) I love debating with myself.

oh and johnathan is one of my best friends too but not as close as the other guy.... :wink:

Post by: tylor2000 on October 09, 2003, 10:00:31 pm: I meet people in random places like the bookstore or the bus.......the thing is that I don't pick just any type of friend. I don't meet someone everyday for sure.....I can be quiet......but I'll get into a deep conversation with someone. When we have been talking for a long time and very little has been small talk....then after so many times I get to know them more, an aquintance occurs. I've met retired proffessors at the laundry mat of all places.

But there aren't many people from school or that are relatives who know me as well as some people I know online.

Some of them at school. We all entered when we were 3 but I got to know them better at different stages. A couple of those are in my class in uni now. I met another really good friend in uni, another one in English class when we were 14 (extra classes, apart from school), a couple of friends (the guys) through common friends, because I went to a girls' school. In France this summer I met a couple of ppl from different places in Spain who are now really good friends of mine. Another one of my best friends is the daughter of my parents' best friends, so I know her since I was born. I also consider some people I met through the VC boards some of my best friends. So, a bit of everything really.

Post by: Holly on October 12, 2003, 02:15:31 pm: for me it'd be mostly school! i met my best friend in kindergarten, and even now, like 13 years later, we are extremely close i see her like every week (we dont go to the same school). she knows everything about me, i tell her everything. and my other best friend i met in 9th grade and we go to the same highschool... next would be my neighbors, i've known them since i was like 3 or 4 and theyre my brother and sister now. so yeah, those are my best friends. i also am really close with other people ive met in school, through friends, at jobs, through family... etc
music is also a strong bond for me. ive met lot of people here in the nessaholic community, a few of which ive become really close with and i hope will stay friends with forever. ive also met a few people though kiis that ive become friends with!
