Anyone like this movie?  Its one of my favorites and it even scares one of my dear friends named "Bill C." ;)

i liked this movie, but i was also told that the japenese version 'ringu' was much better.
i plan on seeing that one sometime.. i just havent gotten to it yet.

but yeah, the ring was really cool :)

ok, heres how it goes... 'The Ring' was based on the movie 'Ringu' Ringu is a Japenesse version of The Ring
i believe its all in japenese with english subtitles...

Go to Blockbuster. They should have some copies avaliable.
Ring 2 and Ring 0 however, you have to import right now, as they haven't been released here.

I love The Ring, I thought that I would be so scared in that movie but I surprised myself and wasnt lol.
It also rocks because Naomi Watts and Martin Henderson are Australian  :D
There is also a Ring 2 coming out in 2004  :wink:

I honestly didn't bat an eye at the film.  I was very unimpressed.  But then again, it was so hyped that by the time I saw it I was expecting way too much.  Personally, I think Event Horizon is the scariest movie I've ever seen.  That and the first two Alien movies.

i love that film, its great! a few parts scared me to death but it wasn't as bad as i thought

I don't know, Ringu had the... Eye. Now that was much scarier than when Samara just looked up at Noah in The Ring and killed him.

...i just rented ringu and saw it..

it was good

the movie didnt have good lighting though, very dark
and those loud noices when it was sopossed to be scary were kind too loud.

i liked it though

Ringu is the actual phonetic transcript of the english word Ring in japanese but dumb international distributor for it decided to call it 'Ringu'. Duh.

I HATE scary movies so i'll never see it but it really affected my brother. He had to sleep in my parents' room for a week after and he only recently has got to the point where he can sleep with the light off. He was SO freaked out by it!

can someone please explain to me the point of this movie?..i did not understand it..it was getting really confusing by each clue they try to figure out.....which didn't make any sense whatsoever.....i must say this is one of the worst movies i've seen lately..i just did not understand it at all......


i mean..(hello?) whats the deal with the horses video tape her dad cabin etc etc. ...
its like i got lost in the movie.....no matter how many times i watch it ..i will never get it
there was nothing scary about this movie except when the little girl came out of the television....thats the only part that freaked me out..the rest was just crazy...

am i the only one who thinks so?
