So how many Trekkers are among us?
From the day I was born I watched The Original Series with my parents.
Then around season 3 of The Next Generation I really got into that and I became a diehard trekker!
TNG & Deep Space Nine will always be my favorites, and the ones I bought on DVD.
I've never been a big fan of Voyager or Enterprise but since its Star Trek, I've seen every episode of each.

which series? I'm guessing DS9 since its up to season 5 right now.
I really want them to re-release TOS in season box sets. The way they have it now with 2 eps per disc for 14.99 each is a total rip off to the consumer. I think they might do box sets for that in 2005 after 2004's Voyager box set run (which I wont be buying)

The Next Generation (TNG) the Dvd boxes each have all the episodes from 1 season
the 5 boxs are each season
so he has tng season1,2,3,4,&5

This was just posted on Digitalbits today!!
Okay, folks... this was going around the Net yesterday as something in the works for Region 2, so I thought we'd get the skinny for you about Region 1. I've officially confirmed with Paramount that complete season box sets of Star Trek: The Original Series are in the planning stages for DVD release here in the States. However, you probably shouldn't expect them until after most of the work on the Star Trek: Voyager complete season DVDs is finished. Voyager is expected to be released, a season at a time, throughout 2004. I'm told that late 2004 is a possibility for TOS, but they might not be released until 2005. This is definitely going to happen, but it's early in the planning and plenty is still up in the air. So don't start warming up those phasers just yet.

I grew up watching the original, watched TNG a lot. I never really got into DS9 or Voyager when they were in first run, but I catch them in reruns a lot.
I like Enterprise. I think the premise is pretty cool and the actors seem to have created some identifyable characters. Unfortunately, I don't often get to watch it.
I've enjoyed most of the movies (The Final Frontier was a bomb, but that's Shatner blew that one with his lousy direction).

Last episode of Enterprise has been my favorite all season. I think it might have something to do with Linda Park in that awesome dress! Seriously though, I liked it so much because we finally get more insight into the character of Hoshi, who is often overlooked. Too bad next week is a rerun. The plot is starting to get really good with the Xindi.

I picked up DS9 Season 7 today. That completes the series!
So I got TNG 3-7 & DS9 1-7, and I'm skipping VOY, so now the question is do I go back and pick up 1&2 of TNG? I'm still debating it.

Aaaah, lol, I can't believe I didn't see this topic before. Hehe.
Annnyways, I love DS9, its my faaaavorite. Hehe, I'm collecting the DVD boxes too, right now I have 1-4 and 6, 5 and 7 are supposed to be christmas presents, teehee.
After DS9, TNG is my fav, but the boxes for that seem to be a tad more expensive when I looked... or maybe I'm just dumb. But BC and JLP shoulda gotten together... I liked them better than WR and DT.
I never liked TOS much, I know I watched reruns with my grandfather when I was a kid, but I didn't understand it much, and at the time was so young I'd rather be watching cartoons, which is probably why I have bad thoughts about it *laughs*
Enterprise I actually have been watching recently, and enjoying it. I didn't like it much when I first saw it, because I didn't really understand. I missed the whole first season when I was in Brazil, and by the time they had gotten it into portuguese to show there, I was leaving, oh well.
Hmm... Lol, about the movies... FC was kewl, with all the borg, dum dum dum... but Insurrection stunk because of Anij, the evil baku puta... and well, Nemesis... I won't even get INTO that...
*shuts up now*
Oh wait, no, has anyone here gone to the ST: Experience in Vegas??? I have soooo wanted to go, ever since it opened (what, like 7 years ago, aaah... I know I was in 8th grade, lol)
*really shuts up now*

Remember that episode when the head of security screws Data because she had been on that other ship and had gotten infected with the party virus or whatever the hell that was? Ahh, one of my favorite episodes. He's all: ...I'm fully functional...

aaahh, this thread died...
anyways, I got all 7 of ds9 and I was so excited. I haven't watched all the eps from it though, I was just going through all the boxes and watching every ep over again. A lot of the earlier eps I missed or don't remember. I think the last ep I watched was 'Doctor Bashir I presume' which was like the 14th ep of the 5th season... So I still have quite a bit to watch.
So did you ever buy seasons 1&2 of TNG? I don't really like those eps very much... the show gets much better as it goes on.

from the digital bits:
(I'll pass on Enterprise, but would love the Animated Series)
-------------------------------
Industry sources are finally starting to hint to us to expect Paramount to release seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise and the complete Star Trek: The Animated Series on DVD in 2005. Word is now that Enterprise has been picked up for a fourth season by UPN (reportedly only after the studio lowered the network's price per episode for the show from $1.7 million to $800,000 - that's according to the latest issue of TV Guide), the studio believes that releasing the series on disc might help bolster the ratings and possibly extend the broadcast life of the series further. In addition, on his website former Trek scribe David Gerrold has confirmed that "plans are underway" at Paramount to release The Animated Series on DVD with features that will reportedly include commentaries with the cast and writers.
Both of these series coming in 2005 would make sense. Paramount has been releasing at least one complete Trek series a year on DVD for three years now. With both Voyager and The Original Series set to be out before the end of 2004, and The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine already out, Enterprise and The Animated Series are all that's left.
Cross your fingers. Or do that funny Vulcan hand thingie if you'd prefer.

w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Season 4 premiere of ENTERPRISE is tonight, with an episode titled Storm Front
Having mysteriously survived the destruction of the Xindi superweapon, a battered Archer awakes to find himself back on Earth in the 1940s in the custody of Nazi SS agents, and learns that Nazi-uniformed aliens have successfully helped Germany invade the United States. When he manages to break free of his captors, Archer joins forces with American resistance fighters to unravel the conspiracy behind the occupation.
Meanwhile, believing Archer sacrificed himself to save Earth, T'Pol and the battle-weary Enterprise crew attempt to figure out how to return to their own time. But then a near-dead Daniels appears and informs them that the future has been wiped out by a faction of the Temporal Cold War, the same faction responsible for the altered events on Earth, and they must be stopped.

I watched the season premiere. I skipped the last half of the last season cause I just got so sick of the stupid Xindi plot. So I'm trying to give the show another chance, but I dunno...
Tucker summed it up pretty well: "Just when we thought we were home we're thrown into another situation" which is exactly what the writers are doing with this new alternate 1944 arc and its looking to be just as dumb as the Xindi arc. I dunno. I miss new Deep Space Nine. God bless those DVDs.
-
Yeah, Enterprise is nowhere near as good as DS9... but I get my "trek fix" from watching it. And I used to hate it so much! I caved though.
-
okay so the 1944 thing was only for the 2 parter. Maybe we'll get back to real trek now, I am totally excited for Brent Spiner's guest role.
-
I haven't never really found a place that I watch it

But there are channels in Brazil that show Trek, because I watched it when I was there...

They will be doing a new arc dealing with the Eugenics Wars and Arik Soong... I bet you thats who Brent Spiner will play... if thats the case it won't be just a one ep thing, it will be a few.

In defiance of their "father," Arik Soong's Augments devise a heinous plot against the Klingons which will surely lead to interstellar war.

Guest Cast:
Brent Spiner as Dr. Arik Soong

Data's dead (too pudgy anyway), but Soong lives on!
Took 4 seasons for them to get the show right.
Took TNG 3 seasons, took DS9 2 seasons, and Voyager never got it right.
LMAO
