Title: You're Older Than You Credit Youself
Post by: Blake on October 27, 2003, 08:58:15 pm
Something interesting I was thinking about in school today...Wouldn't I be almost 18 because I sat in my mother's stomach for 9 monthes. Why did I start fresh after that?

Isn't that interesting? That's like the first smartass thing I've ever thought of!!

*pats himself on the back*

*realizes he's not so flexable*

Kidding, I can pat my back, and rub my tummy. Or is it pat my tummy?

I give up.

it's pat your head and rub your tummy 8)

and yeah, it's interesting how we count age, it starts the moment you're born, not point of conception...but in Asian counries you're already one when you're born, so instead of almost 18 you'd be almost 19...and i'd be 21.....so unfair, isn't it?

Yep. Once you hit 21 the novelties wear off and the real world starts slappin' you around. Don't rush your teen years away

haha, if you think about it that way... then i'm 18 too!
but i'm going to be 18 in a month anyways... lol, so that's nothing much!

but in several countries you're one year old when you're born! that's why when i went to Japan i was legally 18 there which means i could have sake for the time i was ther, lmao!

Yeah, I'm just kind of wanting to get 18 and stay there...Little more freedom and hella more respect. haha.

Ya'll liked the subject line though didn't ya? Pretty creative and extensive use of vocab!

It would be hard to figure out exactly which day you were conceived.  And if you were to figure it out then what would cross your mind?  Eh...my parents?  Instead of it being you coming out of your mommy's tummy.....it would be something totally different.

ahh I'm a biggie screw up of the Your/You're thing. I know the difference, just don't feel like correcting it!

Anyways, Daniel in comparasion to your original post, I agree, but isn't it also odd that when we're in our second year of life, we're still considered one?

Why is there such a big rush to grow up? Be happy with not having to have a job, not pay taxes, having free food, and being able to mooch off your parents for as long as you can before they try and kick you out!  :o

Yeah it was more of a sarcastic gloat...I'm never getting Your and You're right...Although I do get there and their. And Separate cause my weirdo teacher would always say Separate and then I would purposfully spell it wrong because she would freak out..

Because there is no possible mooch from my parents. Seriously. I won't go into details of the pains of getting money, but lets put it this way...If I wanna stop wearing the same pair of pants to school (the only ones that are allowed because of the damn dress code) then I'll need a job. Also if I want to take my nice vacation this summer, job. New drum set, professional camera, and another basketball goal, job needed. No one around here seems to want to hire someone almost 17, yet my friend who's 18 goes from job to job. If he doesn't like his job, he moves.
