this doesn't really flow well because it's the meshing of a song and a poem, but tell me what you think of what i have now:

You tell such pretty lies
so sweet it could almost be the truth
And I came to realize
over dinner the other night
I let you run my life
and you ran it straight in to the ground

well, that’s the price I have to pay
for wanting things another way.

And as my lips pucker
eyes water
throat choke in a silent sob
you smile
and everything became clear
this is how you like me.

Believe me when I say
it’s not suicidal
I just don’t want to live today
I know I can’t change things
I know it will stay the same.

And I’ll go on everyday
maybe slowly
learning to break away.
