Title: Love, Actually
Post by: Holly on November 14, 2003, 10:06:13 pm
i saw this tonight... SO cute!!! and funny!!! lol, it's also understandable why its rated R, but everything there was was humerous. it was good!!
such cute lil stories... like Sam and Joanna, omg! adorable! and that guy and Aureila were cute too! most the couples were!
good music too!! they had Maroon5 (sweetest goodbye), Kelly Clarkson (the trouble with love), Dido, Santana and Rob Thomas, The Calling, Justin Timberlake, Norah Jones... lol, every time a song would come on my friend and I would get excited. and they also talk about the band Blue quite a bit!
Bean and Carmen Electra make appearances, and ofcouse Hugh Grant stars! also the guy who plays Schindler in Schindler's list is in it!

so yeah... for those of you who can see rated R, i suggest it! its good!

lol... i'm single, and it almost did kinda make me want a bf
but i still love being single, i'll do all that stuff later.

it didnt make me depressed at all! but if you're sad about being single and are needy for a bf/gf. then yeah... it probably would make you sad.

Oh also, there are SO many cameo's from famous people here that probably aren't famous in America- i expect its probably a lot more interesting if you know who all the people are. Like if Ant and Dec suddenly appear on screen, lol- all of you lot will be like "who's that!?" Can't wait to see it! Although it undoubtedly will make me sad- its an institution though!

Yeah I heard that girl who played the opposite hugh grant was a singer in the UK , and was on / or is on a soap there?
ms "chubby" BWahahah
umm I have to say it was not bad at all.
Cute how everything ended and how all the stories lined up.
It was cool bc it was about multiple stories so it kept you interested.
I would say it was a good date movie....
The Cameos were nuts and so was the music!

Oooh i saw it on Friday! It was VERY good, but i was a bit dissapointed at the end- because they didn't wrap up all the stories did they? What happened between those two americans? I thought maybe that was supposed to represent the fact that not everything has a happy ending. And what about Keira Knightly and her hubby's best friend!? EH!? I thought that was a bit dissapointing.

The Anti-American speech was really suprising too! Glad they had the guts to do that even when it was being released in an American market, what did you guys think of that?

It's weird to think people watch it not knowing who Blue are!

Yikes!  I saw two mullets in this film, one of them belonged to Carl.  Is it safe to say we can classify his mullet as a EuroMullet?  The other one I saw was in the restaurant scene where the Portugese girl was working.  That mullet was more ethnic.

Lovely movie indeed.  I never ever liked Hugh Grant (it's probably something I didn't like about that same characer he'd play film after film) ... and then I saw About A Boy.  I really fell in love with his hair.  I was like, "Oooh, hello there Hugh."  And I liked his character.   Now I'm all into his dancing from this film.  Geez.  Stop it Hugh, you're making it more difficult for me to resist you!  I loved seeing Colin Firth again.  I can't wait till Bridget Jones 2 comes out.  (I liked the second book better anyway.)

I couldn't believe that the little boy in the film, Sam, was supposed to be 11 years-old.  He looked so delicate and small - like a toy with huge eyes!

I must say, I did love this movie.  All the actors were great, the soundtrack is great.  They even include muic by Billy Mack!  Cracks me up.  Though, it wouldn't be complete without it.  Andrew lincoln, in my opinion, in very yummy indeed.  I'll be happy to take him home for Christmas.
