Title: Albums, demos, singles, etc.
Post by: countvongroovy on November 15, 2003, 01:23:21 pm
So I would just like some things cleared up for me because I'm a tad confused.

What order were these made in?  And which ones are the same?  And why haven't I heard about "Adventure Playground" in a LONG time?

Demo Tape, (other) Demo Tape (?), Peter Zizzo Demo, Adventure Playground, Rinse, BnN

I just don't understand which ones are which and what each one had on them?

And I was wondering if anyone has heard a demo version of Prince because I was looking on everybody's Nessa sites and there seems to be Prince on all the demos listed.

I'm just enquiring,

I've never heard of Adventure Playground, lol, what's that?

Okay well here's what I know.

Home Demo - Demo she sent to Record Companies, the one we are all getting now.
Rinse - Interscope LP, wasn't released. Peter Zizzo
Be Not Nobody - 1st LP

Adventure Playground...sounds like an amusement park....maybe the original title of Carnival...get it, Carnival--Theme Park.....

J/k  but i honestly don't remember anything remotely close to that.

www.vanessa-carlton.net has a cover image for Adventure Playground and I remember a lot of talk about it on the O-board a long time ago.  Does ANYONE know more about it?  Or where it goes in the Nessa discography chronology?

Adventure Playground is a 2 track promo disc, ATM (Legally Blonde version) & Prince.
Nothing overly interesting, but rare if you get your hands on one.

Disc order:
Tape Demo
Rinse
Adventure Playground
Legally Blonde
BnN

How do we know that it just has two tracks?  And how did you get the cover image?  Does somebody actually have one?

Suze who runs v-c.net has an actual copy, and she scanned it for the pic posted above.

it's a thousand miles and prince...which we all have correct? so what's the big deal?

If they were rare tracks someone would have uploaded it and everyone would have it. You can count on that. One thing about the Nessaholics is that they share!!!!!!

Just cuz they're the same songs though doesn't mean they're the same versions.  I think it's really cool to listen to like, the billions of versions of Ordinary Day we have and to see how a song and an artist progresses.  I think that's one of the best things about this Nessaholic community, how we all follow the same thing and see how the songs come about and all that.  It's really cool.  So the Adventure Playground tracks are the exact same as they are on BnN?  So was it just a sampler disc or something as a precursor to BnN?

well bv said that it was atm from the lb soundtrack so I'm just assuming that the prince is from BnN and that's why the songs haven't been uploaded and distributed. I could be wrong...but they wouldn't share the music only if they had a good reason not to so....I'm just going to assume.

since I dont got the real thing or actual rips I'm just going off of what I heard, but really.. dont we have enough versions of ATM already? lmao And I cant stand Prince anyway so its never been overly pressing. But if anyone happens to snag some rips, they can be added.

I feel left out that I don't have an ignore list...am I on someone's ignore list?  That'd perk me up a bit.

In regards to the "Prince" version, I'd assume it's the same as BnN.

I LOVE PRINCE!!!

The drums are so cool!

I think it's a really really good song and I would love to hear preliminary sketches of it.  I LOVE that song!  Prince rocks!
