Title: What does your user name mean?

so what does your user name here mean? (like how did you come up with and why and schtufff liek that)

Back in the early days of the internet, I was a big fan of the band BlackHawk (http://www.geocities.com/Nashville/7890/). I thought it was a cool name, but I didnt wanna rip it off directly.
Also my initials are B.V.(yes this will confuse a lot of you) and I thought if I could do something with my initials would be cool.
So BlackHawk + B.V.
Though of a similar bird as a hawk that started with a V...
"Black Vulture" was born.

But my AIM name is balletstar86-- ballet (obviously) star was my nickname from a way long time ago from a close friend, and 86 is my favorite number

I missed my chance to ask him for a dance and that was way to rhyme-y for my taste. and my old screenname FarFromParadise had absolutley nothing to do with the song. I just thought it sounded cool.

Xenophanes was an early Greek philosopher (570 - 470 B.C.). He was also a critic of the social and religious mores of the time. Xenophanes did not believe in the pantheon of less-than-moral Greek gods; rather, he reasoned that there must be only one perfect, omnipresent God. He's sometimes seen as one of the first non-Hebrew monotheists. He has a rather funny quote somewhere about how if oxen created gods, their gods would look like oxen, so why should the Greeks believe in human-like gods?

Xenophanes also criticized the great love that Greeks had for athletics. Anyone who knows me in real life knows that that's another reason I like Xen; I'm not a sports fan at all either.

And yes, supposedly he lived to be one hundred years old, quite impressive for the time (though Cicero's first wife, Terentia, beat Xen by three years--and her age is historical fact!). :D

Because when I started lacrosse there were quite a few Amy's and Amanda's and my coach (who left...) Rimga asked me if I had any other nicknames. So I thought for a bit then remembered Manda, just dropping the A. She thought that was good enough so I became known on the field as manda/Redodo

and at school I started using that so thats when I asked Katia to change my screen name here to Manda.

End of Story.

it's the first sillables of my full name

CLA= clarice
Mi=Miguel ( it's not a middle name, it's my mom`s family last name)
Cas=Cassou( my last name)

And I was just too lazy to come up with another one :roll: So here I am, a decade later with the same nickname...boring huh :roll:
And it's quite easy to pronounce in portuguese :P
