Just a note to all of you BSB fans, or former BSB fans that would like to see them again, if you didn't already know, they are going to be on Oprah this Wednesday at 3! Aj and his Mom go on to talk about his addiction and all of that, then the boys come out and surprise him and the whole audience from what i've heard. And Nick flew all the way from Londen just to be there. It's supposed to be a huge re-union.

I soo remember my first BSB concert. It was awesome. I think that was like the 3rd concert I wen't to. I've seen BSB three times, aaron twice when he opened for Britney Spears and at the last BSB concert he was there, i've seen Nick twice, and Howie twice...yup ah the memories! I'm soo crossing my fingers that they are going to have a tour in 2004 cuz I know their new album is gonna come out then! *crosses fingers* Yes, I STILL looove The Backstreet Boys...It is strange. I know, lol.

Also, a little FYI for you to do with what you would like. At present time MTV states they do not want to play BSB's music because they do not want pop music to make a comeback. Their quote is that they don't want to open Pandora's Box. Anything the fans could do to support the boys and not to give MTV the power to decide that what the world should and should not hear. This is the second time MTV has tried to hold down the BSB from becoming the best that they can be. If there is anything you can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm boycotting mtv & trl.

I agree with B, I hate this mainstream lockdown business.
MTV's got the trigger to pull at any of these artists. It is so sad that they have this power. I don't watch them either.
On Backstreet Note, my Girlfriend made me go to the Orlando show last month and I gotta say they weren't too bad. Damn there was alot of screaming ladies....and surprising OLDER ladies lol

I'm seeing them & also going to their soundcheck on Thursday so I'm excited. I'll see if someone will ask the guys how they feel about the whole mtv thing.

On Sept. 15th Backstreet fans are planning to protest outside of the TRL studio since MTV is refusing to play Backstreet's new video & a fan recently told them about it at a soundcheck & some of them knew like Brian cuz his wife got emails about it & they said their gonna try to watch but can't be there cuz their gonna be in Rome. AJ said he heard about it to, online. Man, how many artists actually care about stuff like that? Not many.
So yeah, tune in if you guys wanna see somebody finally protest TRL/MTV, haha.

Making number 1 in Australia (and im sure so many other countries) would put their spirits up.
They are making MUSIC, they sing beautifully, write their own songs and are lovely guys.
Even MTV Australia can be jerks, they play what they think sells (eg RnB) but hopefully MTV plays their video.
Otherwise it might come down to 'why make videos if no one is bloody going to play them'.

Doubt anyone here saw it, but a girl who I met in the BSB fanclub that is giving me a ride to the jimmy kimmel taping that BSB are performing on, was the girl they showed on the Today show with the BSB sign! They showed her a lot too & she came all the way from Cali.
That is dedication man. Can't wait for the TRL protest now. That's a good start.

Apparently that wasn't a good start cuz BSB fans got kicked out of the TRL studio. They were just wearing their BSB shirts & they didn't even have signs or anything, only outside & since MTV heard about the protest, they kicked the fans out! They wouldn't even show outside the window even when there was a guest on. And the reason they kicked them out was cuz.. & I quote: "They said that they didnt trust the BSB fans..thought they were gonna do something stupid."
BUT someone from the CBS early show invited them to come & talk about what happened tomorrow. Watch it at 7am if you could.
Mtv is so going down. You all should be proud.. especially since they wouldn't play VC either, this is gonna show them.

Yes we all know mtv sucks, lol today just prooved it even more. We care because we've been voting like crazy for their video & no matter how many votes we get they still aren't going to play it & we think it's wrong even if mtv does suck.
One of the security guys even threatened a fan today. One girl said a security guy said she would be spending the night at the precinct if she didn't leave. So now we're even more upset at them & so I guess the Early show agrees with us & is letting the fans finally talk about it.
Oh yeah & here is a pic. from it... a lot of fans showed up, & Brian Littrell even called one of them (long story).

So the BSB fans that showed up got the airtime. When the weatherman was outside with different people who had signs up he went to the bsb fans & mentioned the whole backstreet boys thing. They are sister stations so he said something like "we don't wanna start any controversy but the fans are out here cuz MTV isn't playing bsb" & he said they were gonna take the issue up with them or something.
Then they went back to them once more really quick & mentioned it again that "the protest is still going on..." & stuff. The fans weren't protesting like trl but they had their signs. Both parts were a lil short but at least they showed us & actually talked about it. Better than MTV lol they even invited the fans to come back whenever they wanted. I <3 cbs.

If protest worked, we'd have legalized gay marriage, be out of Iraq, be against the continued existence of Israel, and have Nazism be a capital crime. People protest over bigger issues that more people care about. And yet, what comes of it? Nothing.
Choose your battles. This isn't worth it. And you won't win.

Im kind of shocked cuz everyone thought it was just a rumor & Howie messed with us & made us think it wasn't true a couple weeks ago. And Brian just kind of lied at his concert. This was posted on their official fanclub, it'll be on their site soon:
“Earlier this year, after much soul searching, Kevin Richardson came to us and told us that he had decided to leave the group and pursue other interests. He gave his blessing to continue the music without him.
We have no intention of replacing Kevin, and the door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors.
This weekend we are returning to the studio to begin the follow-up to Never Gone, and will see you later this year with a new album.”

i dont know if anyones actually keeping up w/ this thread, but for you in the closet bsb fans..
the backstreet boys gave out 2 of their numbers (one for nick & howie, one for brian & aj) during a radio interview i think today and i guess a lot of fans have talked to them. they probably have their cells ringing like crazy now what the hell were they thinking haha thats showing that they really do love their fans i guess?
they said their gonna be picking up calls periodically throughout this week.. if you dont believe these are the real numbers, call & you will get their voicemails most likely (or the guys themselves)

A few songs have leaked & Everything But Mine is amazing enough for me to post here..it starts out really dark in the beginning, then has a hip-hop/pop vibe to it. its really good. i don't know why they didn't release this first, Inconsolable sucks compared to this song lol & most of their fans agree. AJ is doing a solo concert in Anaheim, California at the House of Blues on March 23rd (Easter Sunday) & I'm going! yay. I'm going with my backstreet friend Melinda and her sister who doesn't live too far from me. Tickets are 20 dollars & like 10 for the extra fees & it's general admission if any of you wanna go.
I'm not sure what type of music he is doing, but I'm going anyway just cuz it's AJ :lol:

it's not gonna be too big, thats also why i decided to get it on my shoulder incase i ever regret it one day, cuz i can always cover it up with sleeves. plus removing 3 letters won't be too bad if i ever decide i want to.
but i've been a fan for the past 11 years, and them & their music kinda saved my life growing up. so it's gonna have a lot more meaning than most people assume.

the pain wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, it kinda felt like a rug burn the whole time. thats how the tattoo artist described to me what it would be like. i kept repeating Criss Angel's saying "when the mind, body & spirit work together anything is possible" in my mind & that actually helped haha.
