Title: vanessa played at the counting crows show in san fran 12/15
Post by: ILoveHanson on December 16, 2003, 09:17:29 am: they did a thousand miles, big yellow taxi, and she also came out for the encore. (everyone comes out for the encore) it was graham colton, the wallflowers, counting crows of course, and bob weir was also a special guest. reallyyyyyyyyyy wish i would have known about this. i definitely would have flew out there to see 2 of my favs on the same stage.

i have some more info on what happened:

vanessa didnt come out at all until the encore. atm was the first song during the encore and it was just adam and vanessa. she played piano and sang facing the piano, and he shared the bench with her and faced the audience and sang along. she didnt want to play the song, but adam made her. then the rest of cc came out and they did byt. she sang more than just the ooh bop's. he also told the story of how they met on the street in nyc and she admitted she was drunk when they met. he said he thinks he knew that. the bob weir from the grateful dead comes out and they do "meet on the ledge." the opening acts, graham colton and the wallflowers, came out for the rest of the encore, and they all (with vanessa) do the paul simon song "cecelia" and then they "a long december" and vanessa sings with adam. then they all do "hanginaround." it sounds like such an amazing performance. i would seriously have given anything to have been there. i mean ADAM singing a thousand miles! VANESSA singing a long december! ahh im gonna be sick with jealousy just thinking abou it. i WILL have a bootleg of this show ASAP and ill make sure u guys get to hear it.

Post by: ILoveHanson on December 16, 2003, 03:02:56 pm: yes. no question about it. cc have a bootleg policy where they pretty much encourage taping at their shows. there are bootlegs of almost every cc show in existence. and i KNOW these past 6 warfield shows have been bootlegged because they have been historic cc shows. just give it at least a couple weeks.

Oh, and about the religious experience, I totally understand that. That's what it's like at the Widespread Panic concerts I go to. Good Times, Good Times.... :wink:

ADAM SINGING A THOUSAND MILES! AHHHHHHH

oh and stephan was watching from the side of the stage the whole time, and when it was time for hanginaround adam asked him to join them on stage and he said no cuz he doesnt know the words. haha.
