okay... i was extremely upset the other night and just started writing. don't laugh!!!

i try to wipe the tears away
but they keep coming back
i try to stand up on my own
but i fall back to the floor
that you left me to die on
i'm lying cold, alone and bruised
and i don't think you even care

but i'll keep trying to fly again
til i spread my broken wings and soar
i'll find a way to be happy again
even if i can't have you
i'm not saying it's gonna be easy
but you have to sink a little
before you rise above

i remain on the floor
but thing aren't as bad
as they once seemed
and yes i still cry
but i'm not as torn as before
slowly i rebuild my mind
and teach it to live alone
but now i'm starting
to rise up off the ground

i'm not saying it's gonna be easy
and i'm not saying it's gonna be tough
sometimes life seems more than
just a little rough
but you have to sink a little
before you rise above
