I hear it's supposed to be real good. I looked for it a the library today but there is a 74 day waiting list so I'm probably going to pick it up tomorrow. had anyone read it? And if so was it good?

If you're into heretical books, you'll love it
-
my uncle keeps telling me about the damn book... I might just borrow it from him.

It's a really well written book. I read it and liked it. Of course, from what I've read elsewhere, the author is something of a megalomaniac, and the "sources" he used to write the book aren't very accurate or academic at all.
It has great entertainment value, though, and that's what counts :D
Actually, the background information is very accurate and the two main guys that he got the information from are really mad at him for leaking the info before they finished their works (even though the author gives them credit).

I loved it. Very well written.
Anyway . . . We still love literature. All forms of it, 'cept Catcher in the Rye, which, if I may add, sucked.
-
absolutly loved this book.
i'm getting the book that explains like what's true and what isn't. it like goes more into the history of some of the subjects in the book. that'll be interesting

Everyone KNOWS Mary Magdalene wasn't a prostitute (seriously). That's all you need in life.

:-P lol cece
and i agree, Catcher In the Rye is crapness.

Mary Magdalene was Jesus true love. She was the only one allowed to kiss Jesus mouth

i'm not much of a reader....so I probably wont read the book....
however, Ron Howard is set to direct the film version...so i'll probably go see it....
-
just finished it last night... excellent

I loved this book, it's fabulous. But, I suggest reading Rober Langdon's first adventrue in Angels and Deamons. It's even better.
I'm not too excited about this film version thing. It's such an intricate book that I don't see how they can leave much out. I won't be happy if they change it a lot.

i started reading it yesterday
-
I finished it quite a while ago, very good book but I was disappointed with the ending :(
I've also read Digital Fortress by Dan Brown and I find it muuuch better! :)

Movie news: Tom Hanks is the front runner for the part of Robert Langdon. Ron Howard is still directing, but that's all they know. I don't like Hanks as Langdon, I would rather have someone like Sean Penn. And Jennifer Garner would make a very good Sophie!

Crow was one of a few choices, but it seems like Hanks is going to get the part...only time will tell

no, no, i was speculating. If we were to HAVE to go with a french actress I would say either Juliette Binoche or the girl from Emilie.

it's official, Tom Hanks is the lead in the movie
saw it in USA Today

Read Angels & Demons, which is the book before The DaVinci Code. It's even better, in my opinion!
-
I just finished reading the Da Vinci Code yesterday (Christmas Day). It was really a great read. Very fast paced and easy to read. It surpassed the hype in my opinion. My mom finished Angels & Demons yesterday, so I'll probably start reading that one after I read some other books I have qeued up.
My mom picked up a copy of the US News & World Report SE mag about the novel. I haven't looked at it yet.

Oh Hanks!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!
I thin JenGarner be awesome as Sophie!!! That would be awesome. Jen Garner rocks.

i finished it a few days ago, i absolutely LOVED it.
i actually bought it over the summer to read on my way to europe, but i never finished it (got to like chapter 15 or so..) and i kinda wish i would have because i went to most of the places mentioned in the book and it would have been really cool, but oh well. better late than never, while reading it i was like GASP.. I want to be a pagan! heheh
and i was raised catholic, and have rebelled from all things catholic several years ago and so this book made me happy, even if every single thing isnt a proven fact, i still enjoyed it very much. i think its crazy that the chruch is getting so upset over the book.. there are worse things in the world. maybe they ARE hiding something ... hehhehee
