and i was NOT over anyone when i wrote it. i was actually inspired by my best friend... well here it is.
I'm so happy
'cause i know i'm finally over you
now i see
just how much better i can do
you wrecked my whole spirit
but i didn't feel it
until it was all over
and you broke me
as you spoke to me
but the sting of your words
was masked by your false sweetness
so now i say
so long, goodbye
never again will i give in to your lies
you're not real to me anymore

never again will i fall under your spell
you mean a little bit of nothing to me
i'm as happy as i was when we first met
i've gotten rid of what's destroyed me
guess i didn't know what i was gonna get
when i crashed into your heart
but now i see
just how cruel love can be
and i can thank you
for teaching me what not to want
and now i say

strange..i wrote a poem called Over You, but its not about being 'over' someone, its about still loving them. lol. i'll make a thread and post it
