Oh I love him, he seems like such a nice young man.
I watched him on American Idol and today he was on Entertainment Tonight singing 'She Bangs' and can you feel the love tonight'.

I can't bring myself to move this into the other artists/musicians cause he so isn't but with his own site and mixes and all I guess it fits there. But I can't do it.
I am with Andrew. He sucks so bad. Not to mention he needs his grill fixed. His problem is that English isn't his first language so he sounds retarded. I saw ET with Kelly and Clay where they made them listen to him and Kelly was all... huh? What is he saying?

So what if people are laughing at him, how many of you honestly think you can sing better or even have the guts to try out for AI (*not trying to be mean at all*) I give him a lot of credit.

what is sad is that he even tried out, knowing he sucks so bad. He is in a dream world that he actually thought he could be the AI.

He sucks precisely no more and no less than any of the finalists or winners that I have ever seen come out of Pop Idol / American Idol / World Idol / Idol Idol / [Insert any of the multitute of reality music shows here] :?
Edit: I can't imagine he isn't making money off of this publicity somehow. So
maybe it wasn't such a stupid idea to go on the show after all.

yeah i know. that's why i feel bad for him. but he's getting all this attention (negative i think). my brother said he was even on the Today Show. it's kinda like the Janet Jackson thing; they won't let it die! i'm getting to hate Ricky Martin's songs more and more. lol

ME! heck, I'm in Choir at school! I've had the training. A lot of people can sing waaay better than him in my Mixed Chorus (beginning Choir) class. I do need to work on being louder but I think I can sing way better than him.. my friend said I sounded good when we did our finals by ourselves infront of the class & I did get an A.. not to brag or anything ;)
Anyways, I thought it was funny at first but now it is just getting old. I'm so sick of hearing him sing "She Bangs" & I am sure Ricky Martin is just going "why!? why!? why!? Stop killing my song!" & I totally agree with Andrew (wow a first!) & Let.
Tho I will never EVER try out for American Idol unless someone who I know can sing, & has heard me sing tells me I should- either than that I just would not put myself through that shit.

erm, i have to disagree. He wouldn't be getting this attention if people weren't making fun of him. I dunno, i really like him becuase he's himself and isn't afraid of being different, but it's still kind of sad that the reason he's so popular is because mass amounts of people are ridiculing him.

I think he's awesome!
He had guts to get up there and do it, and he has a great personality! But he's famous despite the fact he was rejected and has his own lil following now, so that's cool!

HE WHO LAUGHS LAST...: The Associated Press reported late Tuesday that William Hung, the UC Berkeley engineering student who became a pop-culture phenomenon after being bounced rather icily from an "American Idol" audition, will be awarded a $25,000 check from the Fuse music channel on Wednesday, and a record deal from Koch Entertainment.
The deal reportedly includes Hung recording a music video that will air on Fuse.
The presentation, according to AP, was made at a UC Berkeley volleyball game Feb. 18, 2004!

i also feel this is sad... yes, true, i thought it was funny when he auditioned, we all had a big laugh- but can't we let it end there? there are plenty of GOOD singers on that show who will not receive a recording contract (who, furthermore, deserve one) but instead, we have william hung, who was REJECTED from american idol but now has become a pop icon in the us (and around the world?).
i feel bad because again and again i wonder if he KNOWS the world is laughing at him- or if he really believes that he is a good singer. who leads these people on and tells them that they should a., audition for american idol or b., pursue any kind of musical career?

He may have been REJECTED but think about this, recording studios can do wonders with voices, just listen to the remixes and you'll see. It's just ashame that we are putting so much effort into someone when there are plenty of others who deserve the same credit if not more.

I guess i like him cause I admire how he still kept a good attitude even after he was rejected and even though he knows everyone was laughing at him! I hate it when some of those people throw a fit and act like AI made a big mistake by rejecting them, cause they're so good! I want to slap those people, lol.

Fox's ratings for the tryouts of American Idol--the episodes where they show William Hung and people like him--are actually HIGHER than they are once they reach the finalists. The American public likes to be entertained. It's funny and entertaining.
