Interestingly enough, Rosie is getting married. I have grown up watching Rosie, and I don't care if she is gay. I think she can do whatever she wants...she has found the one she loves, it just happens to be a woman.
Though, this is kind of an odd time and I don't know if I support the fact it is being done as a protest.

You've grown up watching me!? Married to a woman!? Wait...

Ooh i LOVED the Rosie show! It was my favorite! I would rush home from school so that i could watch it! I think she is one of the best role models out there, despite what's going on with her magazine. She's a very strong powerful woman who's been through a lot.

good for her (not meant sarcastically)
-
Yeah, I wish her all the best!

she doesnt live in San Fran. The moment she leaves the city limits, that marriage certificate is just another worthless piece of paper.

Wrong. It is a worthless piece of paper even inside San Francisco.
California Family Code § 308.5 (http://news.findlaw.com/usatoday/docs/glrts/calfamcode308.5.html) states that "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

Doesn't mean that she can't count it as a valid ceremony in her mind, and as a bond between her and her partner.

Worth is defined in many ways. Utility is just ONE of them. Econ 101, chief. Or does Jesus not beleive in Econ?
