If anyone has the sheet music, or MIDI file of whatever for C'est La Vie, could you please send it to me at psychogurlie55@netscape.net or PM it to me? I have a performance coming soon, and I would like to use that song, but I can only figure out about 1/4 of the song!

these are eight notes in 4/4 time i think vv
A-D-E-F# A-D-E-F# A-D-E-F# A-D-E-F# B-D-E-F# B-D-E-F# Bb-D-E-Bb(octave higher) *quarter rest* Bb-D-E-A(syncapated)-G(syncapated)- F#(syncapated) and then that repeats. but what i can't figure out is the notes she playing when she's singing *super hero won't you come and take me away, superhero won't you come and fly me away* you know, the chorus. can't figure that out. so if anyone knows....

Superhero goes like this
RH:D-E-F#-D-E-F#
LH:A--------^miss out the A ont the second triplet, and you know the rest.
Just remember the right hand is in triplets and the left hand goes in harmony with the right hand part.

but, so is the chorus pretty much the same?

I don't know I have never played Superhero, I just played what you posted there and discovered the bits that I posted.

I learned superhero, but I forget it.
And Scott, In Carnival, she starts it on an F. So it's FDDFDDFDFDDGDDAD
And in the left hand Bb and G and the A and F
and then you play Dm in the right hand and the left you crawl down D, C#, C, B.

no, that's not the right key. she plays it in a minor key(i've played along with the recordings) i think it's in B minor or maybe it's A# minor..... i don't really know my minor scales. i know melodic minor, but yeah. well, the scale in the right hand seems to be in the key of C# major/B minor i guess. everything in it is sharp except F.

I have the music for C'est la Vie.
I'm working on making it on a sheet...so it will be in proper music notation or whatever? I'll have it on here as soon as possible.

On the subject of (Dark) Carnival...
The opening piano part has been put to rest, it seems, but what about the rest of the song? I think I know what to play for "and she runs on her own ... in this Dark Carnival where the end is close" but what about for "It's the edge of the dawn ... before the light"?
I know that Nagyovafan said to play the D minor chord in the right hand (which is D, F, and A, correct?); and then play D, C#, C, and B in the base. Apparently, as I've also read, this is in the wrong key...so I think, following the same pattern that I've been seeing, it should really be:
Right hand:
G#
E
C#
Left hand:
C#------C------B------A#
This doesn't sound right to me, though, and when I listen to Carnival or the E3 Dark Carnival performance, I'm pretty sure it isn't right. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? As I'm pretty sure I am somewhere...

that's the one part i'm not sure about either. when i play that part mine are close but they aren't the same as what she plays. i'm sure Scotty knows.
Amanda
-
I dunno, it's what my piano teacher told me, so I am pretty sure it is right. He doesn't get it wrong normally. It's just how you play it.
-
Is there some trick to playing it the right way then? What octaves should it be in?

yeah, my dad is music crazy. he doesn't play anymore, but he supports me like crazy.
um, i have a Yamaha P-120. awesome keyboard. i posted all about it in the creative section where i posted these songs
i've been taking lessons for about 5 months now. i've had a piano for around a year
yes, i figured out myself. the only thing i had help on were the two chords in the very begining and i found that info here. but gosh, that bridge took Forever!!!

yeah, i thought the strings would sound cool. i'm surprised it's not on the recording in Spy Hunter, anyways...
yes, i would, but i don't have a notation program. :?
btw, that part of the song isn't exactly what Vanessa plays, but it works like, if you sing along with it. oh well, i tried. lol

Whoah! How do you know about her songs on Harmonium? I've heard Dark Carnival by Amanda and it was awesome. If anybody has ANY audio, music, chords, notes, WHATEVER about her new songs (I.E. She Floats, Dark Carnival...etc) please feel to PM me or email me.

Thanks! The only bad thing is that my printer is out of paper...I'll find something to print it on though.

here's what i have for the song, i included the bridge that Scotty asked for
right hand: E-C#-C#-E-C#-C#-E-C# E-C#-C#-E-C#-C#-E-D# E-C#-C#-E-C#-C#-E-C#-E-C#-C#-E-C#-C#-E-D# (just repeat that)
then underneath this part ^^ in the left hand you play:
A and F# together and then you switch to E and G#
you can figure out the rythms for both hands by listening to my recordings i think
then the bridge is this (you can divide this up on both hands or play just with one hand. whatever)
C#-E-G#-B *repeat twice* B-C#-E-G# *repeat twice* A#-C#-E-G# *repeat twice* A-C#-E-G# then go back to the C#-E-G#-B line and do that progression again but after the A# line instead of going to the A line you hold down the A and play this line over it : G#-C#-D#-E-D#-C#-A and then you go straight into the chorus which is:
right hand: C# F G# are held down and are played for a measure, then C# F A played for a measure, and you keep going up a half step and the last note on top of the chord would be a B. the left hand just copies what the right hand is doing ontop of the chord. which is the G# A A# and B
and that's pretty much it. the rest is repetative
just listen to my recording if you're not sure how the rythmes go
