Iceland is a really amazing place to go to aswell- the air is very clean there, when i got back i felt so clogged up! You'd love it there.

Wowww.. you guys read my mind.

those are two places high up on my list!
The band Sigur Rós inspires me to go to Iceland. their music is so beautiful and most people attribute it to their home, Iceland..

Alaska.. I always go to this cam at http://climate.gi.alaska.edu/ and it's always soo beautiful..

But if I could go someplace I've never been to, my dream vacation would be a full tour of Europe.  Madrid, Barcelona, London, Dublin, Paris, Belgum, Amsterdam, Rome, Naples, Venice, Greece, Munich, Austria, Swizerland...  Just take three weeks and hang out.

Let's see here....I'd go to lots of places in Europe, that's for sure:

Germany (Berlin, Trier)
Italy (Rome, the Forum, and the Vatican, of course, along with a tour of the sites of Cicero's different villas, and stops through all the other Roman places)
Ireland (green :D )
U.K. (particularly Scotland; look for Nessie)
Prague in the Czech Republic (it just sounds cool)
Romania (I'd love to go on one of the Dracula tours that the Transylvanian Society of Dracula puts on)

I'm not sure at the moment, i'm not sure i'm even going to fully apply- but when you apply to Oxbridge here you go to the top of the university application processing. I'm not even sure i'm clever enough but its worthy a try. You can't major or minor here either, as far as i'm aware it doesn't work like that. What are you going to read?

the place I want to go the most is Austrailia! 2nd is Spain!
I also want to go to Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland (cause those are the 3 countries of my heritage that i havent been to, ive been to england and to norway to visit my cousins).

Probably Philosophy with something (you can't do it on its own) but all the subjects they combine it with are really rather bizarre, so right now my favoured one is PPE (philosophy, politics and economics) but i bloody HATE any form of maths. So hmmm right now i am kinda deciding against it.

i went there... and it was crowded, but VERY hard to hide, haha. Me being tall and blond kinda made me stick out! But yeah, Japan is full of the nicest, most courteous people ever! I love it there! If it weren't for the language barrier, I'd so want to live there for awhile. When I came back home to the USA, everyone and everything seemed so rude, dirty and dangerous to me. I didn't see a peace of trash on the floor the whole time there, and when people were sick they wore masks so they didnt get anyone else sick, and their crime rate is almost non-existant. Plus they have the best food in the world! Everyone smiles and everything is SO cute!
So yeah... Japan ROCKS!!!!!  :D
And have you noticed (or maybe it's just the people ive seen) that Japanese are the nicest, funniest and cutest people?! I go to a school with plenty of Japanese exchange students and they are some of my favorite people in the world. I'm having dinner with them on saturday night!  :D

so yeah, you picked a good country Tylor! as you can read... I'm in love with Japan!!!  :D
I plan on taking classes in college on Japanese

Tokyo would be my choice too. I'd buy a million gadgets (even though I wouldn't understand the menus or be able to plug them in when I got home), plus I love cities.

Tokyo would be my choice too. I'd buy a million gadgets (even though I wouldn't understand the menus or be able to plug them in when I got home), plus I love cities.

In Tokyo there are many people who speak at least a little English.  There are converters for your gadgets.  I would think the only difference between there and England would be the plug, which you could buy an adapter for.  Not sure if there would be a difference in cycles but I believe both Japan and England would be 220V.

We should have a Tokyo meetup :wink: haha  I've been to Japan but never Tokyo.

I think we're 230V@50Hz, Japan is only 100V@50Hz (with different plugs too). I'd need a transformer to use stuff, which isn't the end of the world I guess.

Sorry Jen and Tia! I forgot to tell the hotel story! haha.

This was a LONG time ago! I think I was like 9, 10, or 11, I dunno. We were staying in a hotel and I accidently left my sweater on the heater. It didnt burn, but it did smoke and set off the alarm! Everyone evacuated (luckily besides my family, there were only 2-4 other people in the hotel though, and the fire department came. They laughed about it and just opened the windows and left. There was no damage luckily!
When we were leaving the hotel my mom pointed at a no smoking sign and was like "Holly, I think they put that there for you!"  :oops:

My great grandpa was on the team that invented the square pin plug! W00t. Claim to faaaame.  He also helped design the Post Office tower, but i feel that is less impressive.

Out of the places I've visited: London. It's my favourite city and a place I could re-visit again and again and again... and never get tired.

Out of places I've never been to: maybe Holland, Norway, or some Scandinavian country. Japan is really attractive too.

I really wanna go to Switzerland, Sweden, and Holland.  I don't know why, I just do!  Maybe I'll climb the Matterhorn...Anyhow, I went to France (Marseille) last year.  It was cool.
