i do... i'm still trying to learn how to not look at it because to my knowledge you're not supposed to... well i was just wondering how many other people look at it or not...  :D

I don't usually look, but I couldn't tell you where the letters are on the keyboard...kinda funny.

yeah they taught us typing way back in the day in elementary school

i remember there was ths one program they used called "Communakeys" and everything used to think it was so boring but i always thought it was really fun and would do it all the time :-P I think the fastest i can type is 82 wpm. but that's with mistakes.

we did too...I remember to stop doing it, we had to do our ABC's without looking...I was the first in my class, you can tell I wanted to do that.  

I didn't really start typing without looking until i started to go into chat rooms.

I don't look. And the fastest I can type without errors is, I think, 60WPM maybe . . . ?

I used to type like a speed demon... my mom still sometimes comments on if I'm just pressing random keys or if I'm actually typing cuz I'm typing so fast... I actually remember typing 90 something wpm back in Middle School.  Haven't tested myself since then haha.

hmmm... they never taught us how to type at my school... I really just kind of taught myself. I CAN type while looking at the screen... i just don't.

OO i didn't look at the keyboard while typing this! lol

I took keyboarding back in the day, stupidass class.
I've been working with computers most my life, and I still look at the keys more than not. Fuckit. Its force of habit now.

I sometimes look at the keyboard for the more uncommon keys like numbers.  Not all the time though. Just sometimes when I am making alot of mistakes.  I type at about 30 wpm; which is fine because I'm always pausing to think anyway.  I'm working on it.  Half of the time of typing something out is staring into space thinking, for me.  Sometimes much longer.  haha  At times, if you include the pauses my typing speed is more like one character per minute.  :)

...i should really learn how to type "correctally" sometime, but i've just been doing it the way i do it fo rso long, that i type fast that way, and hella slow if i even try to do it correctally .

I do. But then again I'm not really playing.  I'm more trying chords and chord progressions out.   Stuff like that.

I have to look down at some of the number keys, to use the symbols sometimes but other than that I do not.

I don't usually look, I mean, sometimes I do, but that's when I use like special characters or when I'm really tired.
I learned by myself in a few years.
The thing is I learned how to type with a french keyboard (where the letters are placed differently, yes, they are! I know, it's dumb!) then 3 years ago when I was in Cali, I had to use a US keyboard for a month so I re-learned how to type.
So yeah, I think I'm ok. My co-worker "timed" me once and I think I was around 60 wpm.
