What was the name of that Beth person that you recommended to me back on the o-board? I'e been trying to remember for a few weeks.

It was Beth Waters, and my ex-gf by the way.
Her site is being re-built at the time being but you can check mine (I don't update it anymore, but there's a lot of info there).

I thought she was okay (nothing wrong with her), but I didn't like her as much as your other recommendation (Elly K).

I have the original demo of that song (piano and voice only), I think it sounded better than the finished one, oh well...

Wow, I didn't know anyone else had heard of her! I have had one of her cds since... 1997? She's been around awhile. A friend of mine recommended her to me and I really liked her song "Cowardly Lion". I'm interested to hear the new album she's been working on!

You know she also released a full-length album (Over The Tide) and a Live cd in 2000.

I have it too and I even have the 'Ask the Sky EP', which is out of print (and it's her own copy, signed!  :wink: )
I even have live and demo stuff!

yeah, her new songs are good, i have an mp3 of blue and white and i listen to it in my car all the time! very beautiful song. apparently she is getting industry attention right now as well ;) so i wish her the best!

Yeah, Blue & White is a fabulous song, even better when she plays it live.
Did you listen to the new version that's on the site Jess? I don't like it as much, I think it should have remained a piano & vocal only song. It's still good though.

The MP3 I have has the drums/bg vocals/etc in it. I really like it! :)

I don't talk to her directly, I hear industry stuff through the grapevine :) Plus she and I have a mutual friend in the business who is pretty intune w/ what is going on as far as all that :)

From her website:
Beth's new, self-titled album will be released March 2nd to national retail stores by Burnside Distribution. In the San Francisco Bay Area, Rasputin Records, Ameoba Records and Tower Records will all be carrying Beth's album.
