I have noticed, now that I am semi-studying French (more like trying to learn a few words), that two of her more recent songs, Papa and C'est la Vie are in French. Did Vanessa study French at all or is that just some kind of convenience?
Papa is french for "dad'
C'est La Vie is French for "Sieze the day"
I doubt it is a convenience.
Tell me your thoughts :)

I thought C'est la Vie ment "that's life" maybe I'm mistaken someone should know this...I'm just a stupid American
-
oui oui thats all i know

Hehe, I learned a little French today... For example
Shut up Stupid idiot

EDIT: I am pretty sure that C'est La Vie is Seize (Sieze?) the day. Well that's what me mum says.

cuz yu have written it as yu say it but it's different:
la ferme espèce d'idiot
pouvez vous me passer ça ?
-
Well i'm pretty sure Papa has an Italian origin, 'mia madre' and 'mia padre' are shortened to Mama and Papa. And c'est la vie does mean 'thats life', like the legendary Bewtiched song which i doubt Americans had to suffer!
-
In Spanish we also use the word Papa, only we stress the last syllable, but if you think of it it could be any romance language she's taken it from, most of these use the same words or very similar ones to say Mother & Father
-
I hope she does a song called "Nicole" too. And puts it on the album right before Papa ;)
(This joke is probably very age and country specific, sorry if nobody gets it, I hope at least one person does :-\).
