I always like studio versions better. I like some live studio versions of stuff, but i'm not so sure about this one. One of my favorite versions of ATM and Paradise is a live studio version for instance.

I prefer the Studio. It's interesting because there are quite a few that i didn't really care for until i saw/heard the live version -- like Unsung. I'm not sure what i was expecting but after hearing the Studio version and really liking it I wasn't as fond of the live version on the radio. I will, however, hold all judgement until i see her live in concert to perform it.

I'd have to go with the studio version, but I get the feeling that the song is really going to be the shiznat when it is performed live not as a total P/V. I do like the P/V live version though :) ... so I put both (I am such a linetrotter lol)

I'm not sure. As for now, I guess I'd go with the studio version, but hearing new stuff live has really given me the shivers, building even more anticipation... I can't wait for the rest

I really prefer the studio version, maybe thats just because i don't think it sounded to great on Z100 and thats the only time i've heard it live. We shall wait and see!

i'm going to go with the studio for now..
maybe i'll change my mind when i hear it live in concert.

Hard to say.
I think I'm sooooo into the studio version right now (listened to it like 1 million times!) but the live version sounds, hmm, different.
Not that it is bad, but like Katia said, I'm waiting for the "tour" version to decide, hehe.

I guess I am the only one who LOVED the live version. It started off rough, but I loved the piano vocal thing about it. I love the demo tape SO much because it's 100% piano/vocal. I am a sucker for acoustic stuff. I think I am on the verge of hearing the studio version too many times. O_O But once it hits radios in Cincy, I won't get tired of it.

Studio, because it sounds a lot cleaner. At the beginning of the z100 version, she sounds a bit shaky...I'm sure after she's performed it a few times, it'll sound better. I remember the first time I saw VC perform ATM live on tv, it was very rough, but everytime I saw her perform it again it sounded better each time. ATM sounded the best I've ever heard it on the z100 recording for example.

live...I don't like it so...high.

Alright after hearing the WBLI stream, I have to change my vote to the live version. In that performance, she was so on! And I do like the voice and piano without the bells and whistles.
-
i loved them both....in the live you hear more of the piano, but in the studio her voice is a little more...uh...manicured? i dunno...awesome either way though.
-
I loooooooooooove both of them!
-
the first live version i heard was the wbli one that i just downloaded right now (thanks vanessacarlton.info)
and i'm gonna have to say i liked the live version better than studio.
i dont like that thingy when she says "maybe you were all faster than me" and thats only 1 reason.
live is SO good :D

I like them both.

i picked studio... maybe if she did it live in the key of c id like it more...

any artist can go into a studio and make a song sound great but the real test is how the song will sound live in concert.vanessa passes the test everytime in her live performances and gives the recorded songs new life when performed live.after her show on friday in savannah i'll take the live version of white houses.
-
I like the Live version better because when she starts to sing and hear only her voice and the piano it sounds deeper to me.

Vanessa is always awesome live. But the studio version is great live, too, so I can't choose! They are both great.
