I don't really like any of them....But I voted for LP cause I know a couple of their songs. My REAL vote is for Incubus!
-
'cause we all know there are no other rock bands than those listed above.
wooah i'd shoot myself.
-
Out of those 5, Ev.

if linkin park wasn't on that list, i would've voted for Coldplay.
simply because i have 2 of coldplay's cd's and they are amazing.
i <3 ev too. but i only know 11 songs :-\
-
If I had to choose out of those, Coldplay, but my favourite band are Counting Crows
-
None of those, it's Sigur Rós.
-
Using "rock" as a very general term, I'd say Metallica.
I  Metallica.
Also, that's a crap list. I do love LP (when their music is not tainted by the cringe-inducing Mr Jay-Z) but also what about the Beatles, Black Sabbath, The Jimi Hendrix Experience.... the list goes on
-
Since when was Coldplay rock? I really don't like Linkin Park at all, but I chose Evanescence. I'm not a huge fan, but they're okay. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned Evanescence is only criticized because Amy's well, a woman. They sound nearly the same as many other popular rock bands (but that's not saying much, considering most popular rock bands are similar in the first place). If Evanescence had a male lead vocalist than many people who don't like them now would like them. Regardless, Amy can sing and there's no denying it.
-
My favorite band is Hanson. Out of this list, though, I chose Coldplay.
-
None of the above are my favorite, but out of those I'd pick Coldplay. My favorite bands are... Mae and The Spill Canvas.
-
I would probably choose bands like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and/or Green Day if they were on the list, but of those, Evanescence is really the standout in my ears. 8)

I think a lot of people would be attracted to the band because of the singer being a girl. That's what caught my attention. i'm not really a fan, but I bought their CD because it's a bit different to have a chick singer (and the CD was on sale...)
I think other girls might feel the same.

Yeah, it would've worked for me if I liked her voice. But alas, I am picky, so that didn't happen.
-
Hun, it's okay, I'm picky too. In fact, I think it's better than the people who download every song that some random person says is good. I like Cursive. They have a new album coming out the 20-something-th of August. Buy it.
-
I really like Amy's voice. Aside from the fact that she seems to sing in a very pronounced European accent, I find it deeply fulfilling in some way.
:eatarrow:

^Awesome smilie.
-
lol, yeah.
-
Evanescence rules!
-
Yeah, it would've worked for me if I liked [Amy Lee's] voice. But alas, I am picky, so that didn't happen.
I'm not too keen on her voice either. It sounds unnatural to me, like she's putting it on. And live B-sides I've heard on the singles are atrocious, in regards to the singing. I understand that singers get tired at concerts, but it was bloody awful. Same with Avril Lavigne. She can't sing for shit live. On her DVD she sings "I'm with you" in the wrong key the whole way through!
-
I'm with yoU-ou-OOOOH-oooh-AWHOOO-HOO!!!! There are too many artists like that, it's pathetic.
-
Avril should never have abandoned country. My opinion is that her voice is so much better-suited to it. I've heard several live tracks (though I only have one in my possession) of her singing country, and it's quite delightful. Her gospel records are really good, too.
-
Wait, what? I never knew that about Avril. Are you serious? haha, that's crazy. I wanna hear.

Yep! :D In fact, scroll over to http://forums.nessaholics.com/viewtopic.php?p=179406#179406 (so we can keep the topics where they belong) and I've provided a link to get some of her old stuff. :D
-
Same with me. I didn't know anything about that, but now that I think about it, she'd be great doing country.
-
Well, browse on over there and check out those songs I posted. :D
-
I don't really like any of them, I used to like Coldplay before X&Y but not anymore, now my favorite band is Sigur Rós.
-
Coldplay makes me cry.
