Eu estava vendo que Vanessa prefere não levar sua banda para tocar junto com ela. Todos os White Houses ao vivo que tenho, ela canta só no piano... Mas por que isso?
I was seeing that Vanessa doesn't like to take her band to play with her. All White Houses live version I got, she sings only with the piano. Why?
-
because there isn't room in the radio studio for a drum set, amps, etc

I wasn't talking about the Studio.. And I have a concert where she plays alone...
-
Fui para cinco shows dela, e quatro daqueles shows ela levou a banda para tocar.
That probably made no sense
-
Her upcoming tour is going to be without a band, so you might as well get used to it. 8) I'm looking forward to it!
-
Oh really? No band? I don't mind... I just can't wait for the tour... Emmy neeeeeeeeeeeeeeds to see moooooreee vanessa showsssss...
-
Woot for no band!!
Acoustic shows are the best! :D
-
Some artists bring their band with them...So I am sure there is a better reason than there is no room.
Like the one shades gave lol. Shades is still here to help out.
-
NO BAND????
i've heard all about this drummer a guitarist and she's not ever going to have any???!!!
this stinks. *sigh*
oh well. i guess just piano is ok...

Where'd y'all find out that she's not going to have a band with her? I mean, I guess it sounds cool and all, but rather...unorthodox...I dunno, I haven't heard any of the Harmonium songs (studio versions) except for White Houses, so if they're all very heavily piano based, it would make sense...

The disinformation Zz_Rinse_zZ is spreading is starting to get old fast.
All the White Houses performances thus far have been in the radio studios were she has always played solo, even when promoting ATM & OD.
On real tours (not just promotion gigs, she has a band (Nate-less now it would seem).

I gotta wear shades said she was going bandless with the upcoming tour.

He is perhaps calling the upcoming tour the radio tour which is in fact alone because of the reasons vulture stated. I cannot imagine Vanessa doing an actual fan driven tour solo... it would be fairly unsuccessful

Good points...
but wouldn't it be current tour instead of upcoming, then?
I know, I'm probably taking it too literal.

You make the best point.

 Some time ago, i asked here about vanessa: Why does she prefer to sing alone? and some of "fãs" said that she just sing alone because she coudn't take a "band" to the radio, but, last performance she could take and she didn't. I think now someone can understand me and answer me. Why does she prefer to sing alone?
I merged this with your original topic. Don't start new threads for the same discussion.

Because she prefers to sing alone.
-
maybe it's because
A)she doesnt have to pay for a band to play with her
B)it's much easier to set up
C)the piano/vocal creates a more mellow atmosphere
D)having her and the piano means it's more intimate
-
its just a small solo tour to promote harmonium, i assume she's going to have a larger tour if harmonium does well?
-
besides, she is a solo singer after all
