Title: Jesus as Superman?

Word has it that Jim Caviezel (Jesus in The Passion of the Christ) is going to play Superman in the next installment.

Good choice?

I don't see what's wrong with Dean Cain or David James Elliott as Superman. Although the rumor is they are casting a younger male as Clark Kent, heavily favored is Jake Gylahaal. I also hear Beyonce is to be Lois Lane  :roll:

nothing against Beyonce, but I hope she doesn't get the part.....

Tom Welling was also a choice, seeming how he's on Smallville, but apparently he doesn't want the job....

I think Caviezel is a good choice though....

as for goin with someone younger....Caviezel is only a view years younger then Dean Cain David James Elliot (who I just looked up, and I dont think he looks the part, although I've never seen him act...so I don't know)

When you think about it, all the actors who play Superman look different, Cain, Reeve, Welling--I think all that matters overall is the dark hair and fit build. DJE would be my personal choice. And his JAG co-star Catherine Bell would be my choice for Lois Lane  :wink:

not a bad choice....I think I once heard that Selma Blair was also up for the role of Lois Lane....

James Caviezel is a rumour no longer.  2 weeks ago, I was told that he had been cast.

I think he'll do a great job.  He's very talented.

When McG was gonna direct it, he wanted Scarlett Johannsen to play Lois Lane....Don't know yet if his replacement, Bryan Singer, wants her for the role or not........
