Title: im going to die

I live 2 miles from the atlantic coast line in south florida. Hurricane Frances is coming straight for me. I mean literally, its supposed to make landful within the next day or two in my city. I packed up all my old pictures, my cds, my books of poetry, and other things that are important to me, because it looks like i might be evacuated. I heard that Frances might be upgraded to a catagory 5 hurricane. This could mean total devastation and destruction for parts of south florida's atlantic coast line.

Pray for me, and all the other people stuck here, waiting to get there asses kicked by Frances.

I'm glad I live in Central California.

We don't get bad earthquakes, tornados, or hurricanes. :D  Well, we feel the earthquakes, but they don't hurt us, and we have had a couple of minor tornados, but nothing to write home about.

I thought you all were supposed to have evacuated the hurricane zone place...

the worst weather problems we have here are really REALLY bad winds and dust storms in the Spring, but even that's not too bad..i mean, hello, i live in the desert...that stuff's to be excpected.

well, they evactuated people north of us, but i just heard they got it wrong and its comeing straight for us. My parents are being stubborn and saying we are not leaving.

i heard about it on the news. its like twice the size of hurricane Andrew.
and the traffic getting out it really bad. etc.

I hope everything comes out ok.  I'm so glad, sometimes, that I live in Reno because I'll never see a hurricane here.  One because it is so far north, and two it would have to make it over the Sierra Mountain Range.

(Not to mention being on the west coast and on the other side of California)  I'm even more safe than tricia from most things.

Holy shit. I'm so freaked out! Both of my family's houses are RIGHT on the water. And we live in Stuart, FL- which is *thinks* about 40 miles north of West Palm. So, basically, we're a direct target 8O  Only about three of my friends haven't evacuated either, and they're not allowed to go online, so I'm going to die alone... before I get to hear Harmonium! :cry:

be safe everyone and thaaank god it weakened considerably.

i'd love to witness a full-fledged hurricane in my lifetime. yes i know they are catastrophic but so amazing as welll.
