Hey, I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of the "punk caberet" band called The Dresden Dolls? http://www.dresdendolls.com/
I stumbled across their "Coin-operated boy" music video last night on mtv2.... They seem like an interesting, provocative band.
EDIT: Warning for the young ones browsing..their site might be a bit too risque.

They are probably my favorite band right now. I'm seeing them July 8th at Summerfest. Best part about that...it's a festival, so I can watch them and then walk to some other stage so I don't have to listen to Panic at the Disco. 8)

My friend Elise sent me a song...it was quite...interesting.

Which song? Their songs, especially from the first album, can be VERY different from each other.

something about a sex change lol

Ooh I saw them on Later with Jools Holland. Good band :)

^^that's probably "Sex Changes" from their second album. Believe it or not, I wouldn't even consider that one of their more "interesting" songs.
there is a song on their first album about pedaphilia that is much more "interesting." 8O

damn I don't know why but I kinda liked the Dresden Dolls a couple years ago.. songs like Coin-Operated Boy and Girl Anachronism where pretty awesome. But damn, I just took a gander to their myspace and listened to some tracks of their latest. This band is genius! I like all the songs on their page: Dresden Dolls (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=181080761)

I had never heard of them until today when I was surfing the net, but I found this video and it's really intense. I'm not sure I've ever seen a performance like this! It's very theatrical and ironic.
