So I just got back from buying the DVD box set, and can't wait to watch it tonight. Everyone that sees it, post your thoughts here! (That's what I'll be doing tomorrow, anyway!)

My dvds arrived today. I think I'm goign to wait until this weekend and have a marthon viewing, I'm so excited.

My boxset is on the way!!
It'll probably get here when I'm gone to the States though.
Oh well, I can wait for another month...
(I already have the 1997 editions on dvd ;))

i have the VHS version that was released a few years ago...

Total Urban Legend. Lucas has said many times that after he finishes the prequels, the Star Wars story is done for him...then he's goign to work on Indiana Jones 4! :D

Dude I hated when they re-released "Return of the Jedi" at the theater and added the cheesey shite like the dance scene at Jabba's palace. The music got cheesey and they were flirting with Boba Fett. It sucked. :evil:
I wish they would just release the o-version. I like the newer technology as far as the effects, but I hate when they add that cheesey stuff to it that wasn't even in the movie to begin with. DON'T FIX SOMETHING THAT'S NOT BROKEN!!!

HERESY! It's all about The Empire Strikes Back.
Serioulsy though, remember when The Phantom Menace was supposed to be 'teh best evar' and look at how that turned out. But I have hope that a)Sam Jackson, Natalie Portman, and Ewan McGregor can carry the acting this time... Just no more Anakin!Rage scenes.. please :| b) I get to see Palpatine and Anakin go DS and c) Chewbacca 8)
will make suffering throught EP. 1 & 2 worthwhile.

So I've been watching the "new" versions that were released on dvd last year (had them since the release but never found the time to see them).
I've seen A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back so far and I have to admit that, even though the changes are disturbing for those who know the movies really well (like I do) but they aren't that bad. (I don't care though, I have the original, special editions and these ones on dvd so I can whichever version I want to :D)
My goal is to watch all 5 episodes before the release of The Revenge Of The Sith! :)

A week away from Revenge of the Sith!!! I am so excited.. too bad I cannot take off work that day to see it, but at least I'll get to see it next weekend.

Eeeeee, the world premiere was last night at the Cannes film festival!!!
I saw Lucas and Christensen's interviews on the news on french tv. Some of the questions were really stupid though (like "do you think we should show the SW movies to the kids in school?", I was like "wft?!").
So apparently, the lucky 2500 people who were able to attend the screening gave a 20 minute-standing ovation at the end of the movie.
Only a few more days of waiting...
ps: we're getting the movie on the 18th instead of the 19th!! :D Bad thing is I won't be able to go until Saturday, meh....

I like the first three made better than the ones that are coming out now. When I was little 4-6 were just coming out on video and most everyone had a VCR by then so the big thing to do was watch all three in one day, Yes, I did that when I was 5. And I made my sister do Star Wars plays with me.

i think i'm watching it tonight actually....
dont get me wrong, i LOVED the original 3 (Eps 4-6), Ep. 1 was just eh, and I had heard Ep 2 wasn't all that great.

I'm going to see this tomorrow with a huge group of friends. I've heard from people who went to the first showing it was a really good movie. I'm excited :)

eh...the pirated version is an incomplete version of the film. the file even has the time code in it.

I just got back from seeing Star Wars. It was really good. The music was the best part; better than the other movies.

I loved it. It's definitely the best of the prequel Trilogy although I still think Empire Strikes Back was the best of the entire series. I'm lucky in that I'm old enough to have seen the whole series except for the first Star Wars (episode IV) in the theater. It's kind of sad that it's over honestly.

I saw it yersterday with a bunch of my friends. It was boring, too long. The action was good, though.

Noone is missing out on anything by skipping Episodes I and II. COMPLETE AND UTTER ASS. Well, II wasn't as bad, but the whole romance thoroughly nauseated me. :?
